[NEWS] Wonder Girls’ turns into “wild beast” when driving?

At the recent recording for MBC’s ‘Come to Play’, Wonder Girls leader Sunye revealed that she transforms into a different person when driving.

In a secret survey completed by the other Wonder Girls members, one member revealed that “Whenever she gets behind the wheel, Sunye turns into a wild beast and the members are afraid to get in the same car.”

Sunye defended herself saying, “I only learned what my manager taught me. I get anxious driving in one lane only but I never go above the speed limit.”

[News] Beast to be the face of ramen in Japan!

K-pop group Beast has become the new face of Nongshim’s iconic line of spicy instant noodles, Shin Ramen.

Nongshim Japan said on March 30 that the band was picked to represent the brand just in time for the launch of Shin Ramen Black available in bowls, which was launched in coincide with the company’s 10th anniversary in Japan.

“We believe that the band’s daring attitude as a leading K-pop group embodies the heat and passion encapsulated in our ramen,” said a spokesperson for Nongshim Japan.

The band will star in two TV advertisements; one for the original version of Shin Ramen and one for Shin Ramen Black, which the company claimed to have nutritional value equivalent to a bowl of Korean-style beef soup at the time of launch.

The band recorded a song “Red & Black” to be used for the commercials and in the red version, the band exudes a strong K-pop flavor with a powerful dance performance. Meanwhile in the commercial for the prestigious black version, the band assumes a bold persona as the video was shot in monotone accompanied by rock and roll beats.

The commercials are set to air in Japan as well as being available from the ramen company’s Website from April 2.

[News] Yoseob, “When I was about to be removed from BEAST, Rain helped me stay”

It has been revealed that Yang Yoseob and Yong Junhyung could have never debuted as BEAST.

In the recent filming BEAST stated, “While we were practicing for debut, Yang Yoseob and Yong Junhyung were on the verge of being cut from the group.”

Yang Yoseob commented, “Before debut, BEAST’s concept was a group with strong manly type of feel. However, I was short and since I had a young image, I didn’t fit into the image that the management was working on. That is why I was greeted with the words that I couldn’t debut in the middle of my trainee days.”

He added revealing the dramatic story line behind their debut, “Before I left the management, the members and I recorded a video clip of us just playfully practicing. Rain sunbaenim just happened to see that video and told the management, ‘He is the one having the most fun in here ~ Why would you cut if off?’ and recognized me. Thanks to him I was able to get a second chance.”

Yong Junhyung commented, “I knew that they were cutting me off a week ahead of time. I happened to look at a note that belonged to a staff in the management and it read ‘Clean out Yong Junhyung’.”

Fortunately, Yoseob and Junhyung managed to debut and are still in the group and will be there as long as they are having fun together. They do not deserve to be remove from the group though. BEAST will not be BEAST if any of them will be remove or replace. Thanks to Rain for helping Yoseob to stay in the group.

It has been known that BEAST had recently gone down to warm and windy weathers of Jeju Island to film a special for SBS Inkigayo that is raising attention from the netizens. In a recent picture circling around the internet, three of the members, Yoon Doojoon, Yang Yoseob, and Lee Kikwang were spotted dressed in a familiar long jacket and scarves decorated with the colors red and gold, green and sliver, and yellow and black. Idols groups BEAST and 4minute's activities has been put on hold,adding to the schedules in Japan being cancelled due to the recent disaster occuring in Japan,in respect of the country's population.

On March 16,BEAST's Japan debut single "SHOCK" was supposed to be released,but because of the earthquake and tsunami disaster that hit Japan recently,the single release may be postponed .

Moreover,BEAST was scheduled to make an appearance and perform "SHOCK" for the first time at Universal Dream Live 2011 in Osaka,which was to be held in Universal Studios Japan from March 19 to 21.There is no confirmation about their appearance at the event.

On the other hand,4minute which released their latest japanese single,"Why" on March 9 and was scheduled to perform the song on Japanese's popular music show,HAPPY MUSIC on March 19 has also put all activities schedules on hold.Cube Entertainment's representative told Star News reporter on March 15 :

"We're currently discussing with our agency based in Japan to find a way to help with what's happening there." he then continued " 4minute's members are also willing to help Japanese people in any way possible."

Cube Entertainment's representative revealed: "Due to the massive Tsunami and earthquakes waves that hit Japan lately,heavy casualties,missing japanese people and victims unaccounted for,we felt that cancelling our artists activities in Japan and postponing their shedules was the right thing to do."

He then added : "It's essential to share their pain and join together to support them and pray for them."


Meantime,North East Japan was hit by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake on March 11,the strongest quake recorded in the country's history.The earthquake generated a huge Tsunami wave and caused the eruption of volcans in the South.

BEAST’s first album that was revealed on the 16th had been on the preorder status since the 11th and they had decided continue the sales progress, however, all the first promotion schedules they had planned for this weekend had been cancelled. Universal Japan had posted this message on their homepage on the night of the 14th.

One acquaintance to BEAST told OSEN through a phone call, “BEAST had planned to show off their first stage at Universal Japan Studio with their debut song which is the Japanese version of ‘Shock’, but all the plans had been cancelled.”
