Shu Qi, Shawn Yue almost collapse during a film shoot

The thriller romance THE SECOND WOMAN (CHING MAI) two days ago opened officially on March 8 Women's Day. Director Carol Lai Miu Shuet and actors Shu Qi, Shawn Yue Man Lok and Chen Shu attended the Shanghai press conference. The event even arranged for a cake to celebrate Chen Shu's birthday. In the film aside from the relationships between the Shu Qi played twin sisters and Yue Man Lok, the most attractive was the director's special addition of the "act within an act" element that was on display as a play. To Chen Shu who had dance and stage performance experience it was very easy, but to Yue Man Lok and Shu Qi the stress was enormous. Yue Man Lok even joked that he was reluctant to recall the scene.

However their performance received the director's compliment. Yue Man Lok joked, "Under pressure I had to release it, otherwise I would truly collapse. So Shu Qi and I were very noisy on the set and fought everyday like crazy people." Shu Qi also said that the stage performance was the hardest, luckily they had Professor Chen Shu to teach them a few tricks. Shu Qi said, "Working with professor Chen Shu was very comfortable, I really learned a lot." The ladies in the film did not "fight" for Yuem Na Lok for the beginning to the end. Shu Qi sometimes would ask Chen Shu for help. Chen Shu hoped that after Shu Qi's fans watched the film they would not hate her, because she actually is a good person.

Steven Ma had a crush on Ada Choi during the 'Healing Hands' days

Recently Steven Ma has been focused on shooting series in Mainland. Yesterday during an interview with Eileen Cha, Steven mentions he has already terminated his contract with TVB, and ended the many year relationship. Steven reveals the main reason for his early contract termination was because he and TVB had different philosophies and he was unhappy with the management: "Actually after I completed the first 4 years of the contract, I initially didn't plan to renew it, but because of Catherine Tsang's sincerity, I decided to do so." Although it ended in a contract termination after all, Steven stressed he still deeply loves TVB and he also hopes TVB will continue to have collaboration opportunities with him.

Last night Steven uploaded a photo of his injured finger on Weibo and expressed he accidentally stubbed his pinky while closing the door. Also, a few days ago Lawrence Ng revealed on Weibo that back then when he was shooting Healing Hands with Steven, they both had a crush on Ada Choi, who is now a mother. Ada responded laughing that its because she's just too perfect, so many people like her.

Chris Lee and Chen Kun both eat sand during fight scenes

The Tsui Hark directed 3D wu xia epic FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP) was released yesterday. Originally the Hong Kong release was to be the Cantonese version, but because earlier during the professional screening film critics, directors and viewers all would like to watch the original Mandarin version. The film company in accordance to the audience demand released the Mandarin version starting today. The Mandarin version will have Chen Kun and Chris Lee Yuchun's real voices. Lee Yuchun joked, "In one scene Kwai Lun-Mei and I fought over Brother Kun, I in particular got to slap him. That slap was especially loud. With my real voice I believe it would be very realistic."

The film's six leads Jet Li (Lee Nin Kit), Zhou Xun, Kwai Lun-Mei, Chen Kun, Lee Yuchun and Mavis Fan Hiu Huen all stated that this film was the most difficult. Several beauties all became "wind eating beauties". Zhou Xun said, "The shoot took place under below freezing temperature. Even my hands and the sand under my feet were frozen. My head and ears ached. Sand storms also kept appearing at the location. As soon as cameras rolled, the wind making equipment blew. I couldn't even open my eyes." Chen Kun and Lee Yuchun in the film had the most fight scenes and every time they wielded their weapon they ate sand. Although they suffered "abuses" at the hands of Tsui Hark, everyone still appreciated him. Chen Kun said, "this time I played both the good guy and the bad guy at the same time, I felt like I had a personality split. I also had to fight with Big Brother Lee Nin Kit. Although it was tough the director very patiently displayed the actors' potential. We truly both loved and hated him."

Yoyo and Chin Ka Lok spraying champagne all over each other

Nick Cheung, Bosco Wong, Yoyo Mung, Chin Ka Lok, Lee San San, Kate Tsui, Stephy Tang and Niki Chow all gathered in Shanghai for the 2011 One Foundation Celebrity Race. The charity race was initiated by Jet Li.

First time in a race, Nick was already in an unfavorable situation even before the race started. It turns out he didn't have his seat belt fasten when the race was about to start and the staff had to help him. When the race started, Bosco and Kate were in the lead, but unexpectedly on the second lap, Nick lost control of his car, crashed into Bosco's rear and then on the hood of Kate's car. Ultimately, the three of them were stuck on the race course. The hood on the left side of Kate's car caved in, while Bosco's car suffered from serious damages. Fortunately, both drivers were not injured, but were out of the race.

There was a dent near the right wheel of Nick's car after the crash, but he still continued in the race. As Bosco's car was blocking the race course, a safety car had to lead the way on the third lap. However, Nick violated the regulations because he overtook the safety car's lead and went from last place to 4th place. Ultimately the male team made it in third place, but because of the violation, a 30 second penalty was added, which dropped them down to 8th place.

As for the female group, Niki Chow made it in second place, but because on the fourth lap, her car broke down, so she had to withdraw. Near the end, the engine on Stephy Tang's car broke too and the race was cut short for her. Results, Chin Ka Lok and Carlos Ng made it first and second place for the male team. The top three for the female team were Lee San San, Yoyo Mung and Stephy Tang. Although Stephy's car broke in the middle of the race, she still made it in third place because the other girls on the team crashed their cars.

Everyone teases Nick

When the metals were presented, everyone teased Nick. Chin Ka Lok laughed: "At first, I thought he was a pro, but it turns out he didn't put on his seat belt and was the first car that crashed." Kate laughed: "Before the race, Bosco joked he wanted to fight for last place with me, but then he actually jinxed it. Thank you Nick." Nick claimed: "This is my first time in a race, I feel really helpless and emotional. When the other cars saw me, they tried to avoid."

Yoyo Mung Doesn’t Curse and Swear During Work

Recently there was a netizen who self-professed to be an extra on set and left a message on the discussion forum. In his/her message, that netizen highly praised Tavia Yeung (??) for treating temporary actors for snacks during filming and bestowed her with the words “Long Live Your Majesty”????.

However, in contrast, that netizen exposed that another TVB Fadan, who was from a Miss Hong Kong background, saw that the extras were walking slowly and thus made a fuss and screamed obscenities at them. This then incurred rife speculation and the list of “suspects” included Kate Tsui (???), Fala Chen (???), Myolie Wu (???), Charmaine Sheh (???), Linda Chung (???) and even Yoyo Mung (???). That netizen, however, refused to disclose the previous hint.

When told about this, Yoyo Mung responded, “I’m not from a Miss Hong Kong background. It’s okay to speak crudely but as long as it’s just for fun and not during work.”

[News] SJ Leeteuk recalls interesting stories during trainee life

On the June 27th episode of MBC’s Come To Play, the members of popular groups who are under the management of SM Entertainment were mobilized and these artists shared interesting stories about their lives. Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk revealed that Choi Kang Changmin who resembled Kangta, a senior singer under the same management company, was bullied by other trainees during their trainee days.

Super Junior member Leeteuk had entered the company in year 2000 and up till the year 2005, he had been a trainee in that company for 6 years. Leeteuk recalled his memories and said: "When a newcomer who possesses both capability and looks enters the company, there will be a severe “bully strangers” act, and one of (the victim) was DBSK’s Choi Kang Changmin.”

He said: “If you were a trainee back then and had appearance similar to that of Kangta's, you would be receiving the best level of treatment (from the management). Changmin not only looks a lot like Kangta but also possesses a model student image, and because of these reasons he had always been the target of other trainees who tried to impede his progress.” He also expressed that, because Changmin resembles Kangta and hence, as a consequence of that he’d always get picked on by others, however Changmin not only sings well but he also gives a very cheerful greeting.

Super Junior’s member Yesung responded by saying: “I didn’t get the feeling that I was impeded in any way. I would only take care of those who respond nicely to my greetings,” causing a burst of laughter.

He also said: “Back then the company had more than 100 trainees, and because of the intense competition, I often doubted myself and pondered if I would be able to continue on, but as I was feeling low and dejected, I met Eunhyuk. At the moment that I met Eunhyuk, I suddenly had the confidence that “I can do it”. This kind of statement from Yesung made everyone erupt into laughter.

Ella brings everyone together during Global Chinese Golden Chart Awards

During the celebration party after this Saturday’s 1st Global Chinese Golden Chart Awards, Ella was very hyper. While telling her junior Anthony Neely to teach everyone Wing Chun martial arts, she also got all the artistes present to dance to Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”

After the awards ceremony was over, singers including Ella, Hebe, Kenji Wu, JJ Lin, Jing Chang, Han Geng, A-Lin, Bibi Chou, Yu Ke Wei, Zhang Jie etc. were present at the celebration party. Originally, everyone was just eating and chatting with each other. However, Ella, known for her enthusiasm, suddenly stood up to say: “We’re singers who love music so we can’t just sit here and eat and drink. We need to be active.”

As soon as she finished her words, Ella rushed towards the stage and grabbed the microphone to host. Besides ordering Anthony Neely to demonstrate Wing Chun, she started naming artistes one by one to come up on stage to learn. Hebe couldn’t help but comment: “Ella is especially hyper today.” After everyone started joining in the fun, Ella took out her phone and started playing Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” Then she got everyone to dance with her.

Since the music volume was not sufficient, Ella yelled: “If we don’t have music, there won’t be any feeling anymore!” In response, JJ Lin could only offer his beat-boxing skills to accompany the other artistes who were singing “Baby.”

Not only did Ella host the event, she even instructed everyone on the dance steps. She expressed: “I’m really happy today because it’s been a long time since so many of my good friends have gathered together. It’s a good feeling to have everyone come together through award ceremonies.”

[News] SJ-M hitting each other during games on Taiwan's programme, Siwon's expression changed while Kyuhyun was close to tears

Internal strife within SJ-M, fiercely spanking each others’ bottom! Dong Feng’s <> had earlier held an interview with SJ-M at the OLDIE GOODIE restaurant and the entrance was crowded with fans. During the programme, the members showed their talents, played games and during the “YES OR NO” segment, Zhoumi chose NO, and that gave him the authority to hit the other members’ bottoms. He first chose to hit Siwon. Siwon thought that Zhoumi would lift (the cane) high but give him a soft hit. Unexpectedly, Zhoumi does not give any chances when it comes to hitting someone, pa!* The pain caused Siwon’s expression to change on the spot.

Siwon turned around pretending to be angry, seized the “little hand”** that Zhoumi likes and unexpectedly broke the “little hand” while waving it. In the end, the members decided to mutually hit each others’ bottom! Among them, Eunhyuk hit Donghae from his bottom onwards all the way to his calf, giving him 3 to 4 extra hits, causing Donghae to feel that it’s unfair. Henry hit Kyuhyun the hardest and the pain caused Kyuhyun to shout aloud with his crying voice saying: “It’s as if it’s been hurting for 10 years.”

Eunhyuk also showed a small part of the “rabbit’s dance”, Siwon played the drums, Ryeowook played the keyboard, Sungmin performed the nunchucks while Zhoumi danced to his song “Miss Chic”. Other members danced along with him and everyone had tremendous fun. Donghae who has very high popularity in Taiwan carelessly chose the bitter gourd and his expression changed massively after one bite. When Micky Huang requested Donghae to eat a little more, Donghae replied using Chinese: “That’s outrageous!” Micky Huang was startled with Donghae’s ability to use such advanced level of Chinese.

Michelle Ye overworked, falls to the ground during film promotion

Yesterday Michelle Ye arrived in Beijing to attend a promotional event for her new film. When she was on stage, she suddenly collapsed to the ground. The people that stood next to her quickly helped her go backstage. White lips were seen on Michelle, after resting a bit, she felt better and said the reason was because of extreme fatigue.

In Beijing yesterday, Michelle attended the poster announcement ceremony for her new film. On stage, a sudden crashing sound was heard as Michelle falls to the ground. The other artists surrounded her to help her up. Liu Ye and Xuan Huang picked her up and brought her backstage. Barbie Hsu Lures Media Away; Magician Lu Chen and Aboriginal Singer to Perform During Wedding

Barbie Hsu will be holding her wedding tomorrow (22 March) in Hainan Province, Sanya. This morning, her family and friends in Taiwan went on a chartered plane to Sanya. Other than Dee Hsu, her parents, grandmother and other relatives, Barbie’s close friends such as Aya, Pace Wu, Christine Fan, Heiren, Makiyo, S.H.E’s Ella and many others were amongst the passengers of this special chartered plane. In addition, renowned magician Lu Chen and Taiwan aboriginal singer Wang Hong En, are expected to perform at Barbie’s wedding.

Luring the Media Away

This morning at 10.10am, Taiwan variety programme producer who talent-scouted the Hsu sisters, Wang Weizhong appeared at the airport. He warmly led the waiting media to the VIP lounge for an interview and shared that he would present a wedding gift to the newly-weds-to-be. Christine Fa and Heiren subsequently arrived at the airport and chatted with the media for a while revealing that Dee Hsu and her family will arrive shortly. When the media was interviewing Christine and later rushed out to interview Dee Hsu and her family, they realized in fact Barbie, dressed in a flowery skirt and flats has already secretly entered the airport with her mother. It then dawned on the media that they had fallen for the diversion tactic.

Lu Chen and Wang Hong En to Perform at Wedding

Media caught sight of Barbie’s father, grandmother and aunty a moment later. Hsu-pa shared that he would give a golden pendent to his daughter as dowry while her Hsu-ma expressed her joy. In addition to close friends like Aya, Pace Wu, Makiyo, S.H.E’s Ella will also attend the wedding. Aya said, “We actually wanted to wear something with a tropical theme. But in view of the recent natural disaster, we decided not to.” Makiyo shared that there will not be photography during the ceremony. Meanwhile Christine Fan revealed that she would be singing a song. But when media probed if she is singing [Most Important Decision], she did not reply. In addition, Ella shared that she would be performing. Chai Zhi Ping said that she would be giving the couple a red packet of 6-digits worth. It was said that all female artistes will be wearing purple gown. On the other hand, Lu Chen is seen at the airport with his magic case, while Wang Hong En has his guitar. Media hence speculated that they would be performing for Barbie’s wedding. The appearance of so many celebrities at the airport caused a chaos and a photography journalist even had an asthma attack. It took almost half an hour before all the celebrities made it through to the departure hall.

Transit at Taichung Before Heading to Sanya

According to sources, a tour agency was in charge of all arrangement for this trip. As there is no direct flight from Taipei to Sanya, all the celebrities will transit at Taichung for an hour or so, before heading to Sanya. The expected arrival time in Sanya is 3pm.
