Ekin Cheng pressured by audience to propose to Yoyo Mung, takes no action

Yesterday Ekin Cheng kicked off the first of four shows to his Ekin Light and Shadow Concert 2012 at Hong Kong Coliseum. His parents, girlfriend Yoyo Mung, Grasshopper, Leo Ku and Kay Tse and her family all supported him in the audience. Yoyo got to her seat right before the lights went out, and many of the surrounding audience shouted "Ah So". She immediately turned and waved to them. That night, Ekin performed all of his classics. When Ekin was performing Love You Only For Life (??????), Yoyo was singing along in the audience.

Ekin madly worked out before his concert, so he could show off his 6 pack. During the time, the TV screen showed a clip from Love In A Puff where Miriam Yeung said she misses Ekin. Miriam left a message: "I already have a family, and a husband who loves me dearly. We also have a very cute son, but you're still single. You make me feel so uncomfortable inside. You don't have to miss me, hurry up and get marry. When you're eyes are 'Mung' (blindfolded), once you open your eyes wide, you will make a 'Yo' sound. Then you will choose her!" Then Ekin performed Earth-Shattering Loved (???????), everyone shouted Yoyo Mung's name, but he played dumb and pretended to be deaf, he laughed: "What? I'm singing!"

At the Encore, Ekin invited his buddies Chin Kar Lok and Jerry Lamb (Ah Lo) out. The three of them were singing together and spoke sarcastically to each other. Soon-to-be-groom Chin Kar Lok faced Yoyo as he rushed Ekin to marry her, he said: "I have Angela Tong, and you haven't even given her a status yet! When we met, we were still youngsters, but now we all have our own families. I really hope the next person to get marry is you." Everyone in HK Coliseum then shouted "propose!" Ekin still didn't take any action, then Ah Lo teased Ekin's heart changes often, keeps going back and forth between the two "Kei" (implying Gigi Leung and Maggie Siu). Soon after, Ah Lo explained he's just talking about Ekin's two other guest performers Kay (Tse On Kei) and ShuQi (Syu Kei).

Chin Kar Lok confirms he's going to be a father soon

Ah Lo frankly expressed he has a whole family to support, and has helped Ekin a lot in all of his concerts. He then asked Chin Kar Lok if its because he has to earn extra income that he's being Ekin's guest? Kar Lok said: "Yes, I have to support a family big and small. I really have to work really hard!"

Vincent Wong's proposal puts Yoyo Chen in tears, witnessed by audience & friends

Earlier it was exposed Vincent Wong and Yoyo Chen were getting married, but Vincent said frankly he hadn't proposed yet. He said he will find a good opportunity to propose to his girlfriend. The other night, after Vincent completed his stage play Barefoot in the Park, he took advantage of the time and openly thanked his girlfriend's support. Then Vincent took out a batch of Yoyo's favorite sunflowers and a diamond ring. He walked off the stage and towards where Yoyo was seated, then he immediately knelt down and proposed to her!

At the time, Yoyo was so surprised she didn't know how to react. The audience around her all cheered while Yoyo smiled widely as she nodded. Vincent immediately put the engagement ring on his fiance and the two had a deep embrace. Vincent then gave Yoyo a kiss. What a touching scene.

Yesterday reporters contacted Vincent, he said that night at the moment he proposed, he felt very nervous. The other cast members Joey Leung and Leila Tong tried to calm him down, he expressed: "I asked them how do I say it? Joey told me I shouldn't be thinking too much, just say what's from the heart. Prior to the proposal I made arrangements for over 20 of her friends and ex-classmates to be sitting on every corner of the arena to witness this. I even told them not to let Yoyo see, so many of the friends didn't even dare to go to the restroom!"

Vincent describes Yoyo as his chancellor that manages his everyday life including his meals. Backstage, Yoyo laughed and said she's definitely not a 'spicy hot wife'. On stage, the couple received applause from the audience and good friends. The two will be holding some 20 table wedding banquet in Island Shangri-La. Since they have too many friends from the entertainment circle, the seating arrangements will give them the biggest headache.

Also, many good friends congratulated them on Weibo. Myolie wished them 'together until old age' and said Yoyo will be marrying a super good husband. Vincent responded to Myolie: "Thanks Myolie, you do the same!" As for Sharon Chan, she wished them 'together until old age, love forever and to get a fat and chubby baby.'

Fireworks coming from Eason Chan's pants, Audience frightened

Eason Chan continues his DUO CONCERT TOUR in Australia. His hairstylist designed 3 different bright colored hair styles for him including orange, green and yellow. On stage, he even had fireworks and snow, bringing out a nice visual effect.

At the Perth, Western Australia stop, the fireworks were too extreme and exploded right between Eason's pants. Audience were shouting loudly with 'wah wah' sounds. Fortunately, Eason was not hurt. Eason laughed: "I basically didn't know what was happening, just saw fireworks and a moment of hot air blowing by. I was into my singing and dancing. The stage design is that it slowly declines, perhaps this cause a misconception that the fireworks exploded on me. If that was true, using my pants as the fireworks, it is not possible for me not to shout for help!"

Kenneth Ma has confidence in villain roles, wants to disgust audience

First time playing a big villain, Kenneth Ma's performance in TVB series Grace Under Fire is fully experiencing the attention. His character changes from a simple guy who often gets bullied into someone who does things by evil means. Kenneth said the story is still in the early stages, audience will see his character change very soon. He is personally looking forward to see the whole process of his character changing from good to evil. He said: "At first, my character was being insulted, accused and bullied. Later he becomes determined to stand out and deceives Leung Ka Kei into being his wife. During the process of when he turns evil, there are a lot of violent scenes, some had too much blood. Those scenes are cut and cannot be broadcast."

Although in the series, Kenneth didn't have to actually perform real Kung Fu, but he had to play someone changing from good to evil. Grasping the deep feeling scenes is just as difficult. He laughed and said that it is only successful when people point at you and scolds you on the street. Asked if he already fell in love with being a villain? He said: "I like it, in the last few series I've been a good person. I have confidence on playing villains, I want to prove the audience that Kenneth Ma is not stupid."

Leung Ka Kei gets deceived by Kenneth in the series, he praised that his partner had an outstanding performance. He said: "Although we haven't collaborated before, her role goes through big changes. My character was always lying to her, it was only until the end when she found out. Although she doesn't have that much screen time, she is an important character."

Leung Ka Kei smiled and said that she had always wanted to work with Kenneth, so she is willing to get deceived by him, she said: "My role does have great ups and downs. I was fortunate to have Kenneth bring me into character." Asked if she fell for Kenneth in reality? She took Kenneth and JJ Jia's rumors out to joke with: "Just a little more! But I didn't buy one dessert soup to share with him. I don't match the social class!" Kenneth clarified that the rumors are not true.

As for if she would get too into character and can't pull out of it? She said: "I have been worried being too into character, so before I start working I would not let myself be happy, trying my best to talk to more people. When I start shooting, I already used up my power and hope to do the best."

In reality, have she met a person who deceived her love? She said: "Well no, actually my love life is very boring. Usually I stay at home and don't go out. The most I would do is go out with a few friends to a place with less people, perhaps I suffer from a crowd phobia." Kenneth frankly said that he keeps acting and reality separate, he said: "I would just like the character in the series, I won't get the artist and the character confused."

When speaking of many TVB FaDan and Siu Sang leaving the nest, Kenneth believes that it won't be a great affect on TV productions because artists who do not renew their contracts will change to a 'per series' contract. We will all still continue to shoot series.

Cheung Tat Ming's Standup Comedy, pulls female audience up to rip off his top

Cheung Tat Ming's stand up comedy (細路教壞系列之一於做壞旦) was held last night at Queen Elizabeth Stadium. Tat Ming appeared on stage in rock and roll devil style.

Tat Ming started off with a 'bad egg' song to give the audience a warm up, but this got the audience very high. His voice was a hoarse, but he joked that even if his voice is worst than Eason Chan's, then he still won't give audience back the money. He also had a pack of cigarettes on stage, and asked audience if they smoked or not. If the fine was HK$1,500, he would pay for it. However, the 'smoke' that he was talking about was in literal sense, really ingesting the cigarette and also had to eat the cigarette box too. (In Chinese, smoking is said as 'eat smoke')

He then went through the 'bad eggs' within the entertainment circle one by one. He laughed: "The one who beat the pilot Ronald Cheng, the one who pees all over the streets Vincent Chiu, the one who buys AV discs Jan Lamb, scissors feet Amigo Chui, random group of farmers Francis Ng and taking a knife not letting people move out of their homes Eddie King." Coincidentally Eddie King was also at the show to support him, Tat Ming then tried to fix what he said and told him it's purely a joke, don't be upset.

To get audience even more wilder, Tat Ming pulled a female audience up on stage to rip off his top and trousers. He had a fish net underneath and revealed his nipples. Everyone was laughing until their stomachs hurt.

He said he wants to salute to people who support and did not support him over these 2 years because they gave him strength to do well.

Edison admits he is nervous about his official comeback: "I'm afraid I can't rap anymore. I'm not that worried facing several thousands people in Shanghai. But it's Hong Kong here, but after today I have nothing to worry about."

Charmaine Sheh disappointed, Moses Chan won audience heart

The night before, Moses Chan lost "My Favourite Male Character" award, and was said to have won the 'pork award' Best Professional Performance Award", even he did not understand why he got the award, no wonder he expressed that he lost the award, but more importantly he won audience hearts. As for Charmaine Sheh, she expressed that she feels disappointed and hopes that next year's results can satisfy people!

Having so many TV fans supporting him for "My Favourite TV Male Character" Moses accepted a phone interview and expressed that he knows a lot of people support him, he is happy and touched: "Most touching was receiving text messages even if I didn't win the award, received even more messages than when I got the award. It's not important to lose the award, but winning audience hearts is the happiest." Asked if rumored girlfriend Bernice Liu has given him support? He said: "Yes! Yes!"

Coffee as a metaphor

Moses used 'coffee theory' as a metaphor, he expressed that he enjoys the process of brewing coffee, although it may not suit everyone's taste, still can move everyone: "The cup of coffee may not be liked by everyone, but I will keep on insisting, hope to make a cup of coffee that everyone will like." Moses also said that filming Can't Buy Me Love already benefited a lot: "Getting awards and filming advertisements outside is already won half the word win. Of course, if I get the award it is even more perfect."

About the "best Professional Performance Award", Moses was clueless as well: I don't understand why this award was presented to me, was voted by insiders, well winning an award and being able to go on stage to give a thank you speech is already good enough, treat the award as a piece of candy."

Winning "My Favourite TV Female Character Award" Charmaine Sheh flew back to Wuxi to continue filming, the crew there celebrated for her! When speaking of the controversy of the awards, Charmaine said over the phone: "Everything has been decided, it is a fact that cannot be changed, I hope next year the results will satisfy people!" (From TVB Weekly #702) The other night at the ceremony, when the "My Favourite TV Male Character Award" was about to be presented, Charmaine looked at the screen and shouted: "Ah Mo! (Moses)." As she did not win with her partner Moses, the award went to Raymond Lam instead, Charmaine is just as happy for him: Ah Mo is my partner in CBML, of course I have to support him, but Ah Fung (Raymond) getting the award, I am just as happy, he's my good buddy." Charmaine also expressed that she was even happier than winning her own award when CBML's producer Miu Siu Ching won Best Series

(From TVB Weekly #702) About losing the Best Actress award, Charmaine has participated in several years of award ceremonies and is not unhappy: "I am a little disappointed for not winning Best Actress but I won't be unhappy, every year there are many good artists, there are only a few who can win awards, so I will not give too much pressure to myself. Every role I will try my best to do, also it is important to have audience support. I will continue to work hard and look forward."
