Mag Lam

The film LIVES IN FLAMES (HEI SAI YIU GWUN) including the band Mr., Mag Lam Yun Tung, Michelle Wai (Si Nga), Jeana Ho Pui Yu and Bonnie Xian (Sin Sik Lai) yesterday promoted the film in Whampoa as the cast performed songs at the event. In the film Mr.'s lead singer Allen and Si Nga developed a love triangle with Lam Yun Tung, who did not have any intimate scene with Allen. Instead Si Nga and Allen had a kiss scene. Did her company turn down the kiss scene to protect her image? Lam Yun Tung said that it was the arrangement in the script, she only performed according to the script. Would she choose her co-star before making a kiss scene? Lam Yun Tung said, "This wouldn't be my choice. I have to perform according to the script and the job." Lam Yun Tung with several films under her belt for now would not spend too much time on movies. She said that singing was her favorite job so in the future she will focus on music.

Pet owner Si Nga revealed that she has a kitten and a puppy at home, but her kitten recently suddenly became pregnant. She said, "At first I was confused, thinking that it was the puppy. Later Mama said that actually a male cat constantly came to our home and she believed it was the culprit. Now I would properly arrange for ideal living space for the kitten's pregnancy." Si Nga said her home was rather open and constantly had small animals come and go. Would someone of the opposite sex enter her home, Si Nga joked, "My puppy would know to protect me."

Jessica Hsuan reveals reason to her break up with Dicky Cheung back in the day

Yesterday Jessica Hsuan appeared on iCable on the first time after leaving TVB. She was on the talk show Star Chatroom. After so many years of being in the industry, Jessica was unexpectedly so nervous she couldn't sleep. During the interview, Jessica talked in detail about her past relationship with Dicky Cheung. It was because her career was better than Dicky's that conflict arise between them and then ended with a breakup. "When I was dating him, he didn't have a stable career yet, but I was just on the rise. I believe he's a normal man, hoping that his career is better than his girlfriend." Today, Dicky is already married and started a family, but Jessica is currently still single. She generously expressed she'll be turning 41 this year and have already went through the 'desperate for marriage' stage: "It's hard for me now to find a matching partner, so I leave it all to fate. I actually hope to have more time to spend with friends."

Jessica served TVB for 18 years, and had left a lot of good memories. "It was very memorable for me to work with so many seniors. I remember the first time I worked with my idol Alex Fong, I became so stiff while hugging him." She frankly described TVB as a "large tree that is good for shades". She and TVB's relationship is like dating: "When you feel two people are growing further and further apart, then it's time to break up."

Niki Chow's Sergeant Tabloid 'stolen', TVB to investigate the thief

Following the cases of TVB series D.I.E, Men with No Shadows, Heart of Greed and When Heaven Burns illegally broadcast online, recently it happens again with Niki Chow and Michael Tse's new series Sergeant Tabloid.

Sergeant Tabloid had just completed its filming in February, but unexpectedly the series has been actively broadcast on Mainland streaming sites Tudou and PPS and Youtube. The websites even had a dual language Cantonese and Mandarin version broadcast. Last night, the fourth episode was already uploaded and led to heated discussion on Mainland discussion forums. However, yesterday PPS and Youtube already deleted the uploads.

Niki: Respect Copyright

It was understood TVB still has not made arrangements for the series to broadcast in Hong Kong locally, and have not put the series out for sale. TVB's Director of Foreign Affairs (Tsang Sing Ming) expressed yesterday that he already knows about the illegal broadcasting, he said: "We haven't started selling the series yet. If you go on Mainland websites to watch it in HK, then it is very wrong, so after the holiday, I will be back at TVB to investigate the case and get to the bottom of it." Mr. Tsang said in regards to all the illegal broadcasting, TVBI (TVB International) will provide advice to their clients regularly.

[Oriental Daily] contacted Niki and Mandy Wong yesterday. They both expressed their shock. Niki said: "I didn't know such thing has happened, hope TVB will get to the bottom of this! After all, it is unlawful and we all worked so hard on the production, I hope we all respect the copyright. Although it's hard to control, Netizens shouldn't spread the clips around because it's illegal."

Mandy expressed she did not know about this incident. She said: "Can see the series that fast? We just finished shooting not long ago! (How do you feel about internal theft) I don't really know the details of the incident. If it's true, then it really kills all of the hard work by artists. The filming process was so difficult, of course we hope to witness the achievements. Hope everyone respects intellectual property rights!"

Yesterday Koni Lui attended an event in Tseung Kwan O center and when she learned about the illegal broadcasting, she said surprised: "Huh?! I feel so surprised. If TVB haven't officially put the series out for sale and can already watch it on the Mainland websites, then that is so strange. I hope TVB will check the source and take action, stop the unlawful broadcasting because we, artists can't do much!"

Sam Hui remembers Ricky Hui

Kay Tse, Sam Hui

Hui Koon Mo, Michael Hui, Sam Hui, Ryan Hui

Sam Hui Koon Kit's four show concert will officially open next Friday. Hui Koon Kit has been rehearsing. Two days ago he even rehearsed with his brothers Michael Hui Koon Man and Hui Koon Mo Ricky Hui Koon Ying's classic hit MERCILESS NIGHT COLD WIND, Sam got sentimental when he remembered his late brother. The team cheered him up and joked with him, "The show hasn't opened yet, you are already so emotional!"

The Hui Brothers have always been close. Every time Sam had a concert Ah Ying would be a part of it. Although Ah Ying has departed, Sam would still save his a spot at this show and arranged for the brothers to sing with Ah Ying through the big screen his classic hit MERCILESS NIGHT COLD WING. Two days ago at rehearsal, when the brothers stared at Ah Ying who was performing on the computer screen, Sam got teary eyed. The team immediately handed his tissues and the musicians even started the music so Sam would be able to bring himself back to the rehearsal and forget the sorrow temporarily. Sam's son Ryan Hui Wai Yun played the guitar for his father's rehearsal while the other played the harmonica on LATE NIGHT LIGHT PRIVATE WORDS.

Sam in two short hours rehearsed almost 20 songs. First time guest star for her idol Sam, Kay Tse On Kay were thoroughly amazed. Kay excitedly said, "My manager didn't tell me until three days ago about being invited to be a part of Sam Gor's concert. I am very nervous. I rehearsed with him for the first time. He really is very easy going and very professional. As soon as he arrives he can give you a motivation and bring you very quickly into the music. I enjoy this feeling very much."

Kay said that singers usually would hold back a little at the rehearsal before the show to avoid affecting their voices, but Sam Gor sang all he wanted and displayed his experience. Her eyes were opened. Although the rehearsal room's air conditioning was super cold, Sam still wore a tank top to the rehearsal. His stamina was great and even made Kay immediately remove her jacket to experience that cool rehearsal feeling with him.

Although Sam performed with Kay for the first time, he had nothing but praised for her singing. They rehearsed three songs at once. When they started LET IT BE ME, Sam got more excited and performed it four times. The team joked that "encore" came before the show even opened. Sam said with excitement, "Very Good! Kay, Very Good!" Then they performed Roman Tam (Law Man)'s UNDER THE LION ROCK and mischievously said to the musicians to wrap up with a "Law Gei style" long note in nostalgia.

Kay, Sam and Hui Koon Man were all Hong Kong University alumni. She and Sam Gor's son Ryan were close as they often exchanged parenthood tips. Kay will be the guest on the 15th, the "Hong Kong University Night" that will be near and dear to her heart. She along with 50 students will sing with Sam Gor ENLIGHTEN ME WITH VIRTUE, a new song that he wrote for the school. It truly will be a very memorable opportunity.
