The couple is said to have split after Carina failed to become pregnant

However, according to the Chinese media, the pair had secretly divorced because Carina failed to become pregnant and that there was situation where the "woman is stronger than the man" at home.

The divorce was supposedly kept a secret to "save face".

The report stated that a controversial author from the late 80s revealed that while the couple each had their own career, there was a terrible struggle for power at home, which stemmed from their vastly different personalities.

Tony is a quiet person due to his parents' divorce and enjoys spending his time alone. Carina, on the other hand, is a very active person and loves to be in the spotlight.

Due to their busy schedules, Tony and Carina drifted apart.

Furthermore, Carina's failure to become pregnant fuelled their problems, which led to the breakdown of their marriage.

Responding to the report, Carina's management agency said that there have been many rumours ever since the pair began dating. The representative added that the couple has a great relationship with each other and that they are tired of clarifying rumours.

Jacky Cheung discusses life and death with his daughters

Having just turned 50, God of Songs Jacky Cheung just crossed an important age milestone in his life. Well aware of the limitations of human life, Jacky does not mind discussing his age and is not afraid of growing old. It’s no surprise then, that Jacky doesn’t feel that talking to his 11 year old and 6 year old daughters about death is taboo: “It’s better to let them understand and accept reality early on – some day, I will eventually leave them, so they need to learn to be independent and take care of themselves.” Jacky’s attitude is very open and candid, calmly confronting the task of teaching his daughters about the realities of life, including the difficult subject of coping with death. However, his calm demeanor seems to have the opposite effect on his youngest daughter Zia (???), as she starts to cry upon hearing her Dad talk about leaving them.

Keeps himself healthy for the sake of his daughters

“I’m actually very much looking forward to old age, as I’m curious to know how I will be like when I grow old!” Jacky Cheung turned 50 back on July 10th – despite this year’s birthday being a ‘half century’ milestone in his life, Jacky did not feel the need to celebrate in any special manner and also did not feel any sadness towards growing old: “There’s no need to face old age with a heavy heart, as each milestone has its own distinctness and meaning – some people may feel very old at 80, while others may feel very active.” Jacky bluntly admits that he doesn’t dare to say that he is perfectly healthy and active, but he strives to be as healthy as possible for the sake of his daughters: “I try my best to maintain good health so that I can be with my daughters longer.”

World Tour concert will extend through next year; will most likely break 100 show record for the third time

For his birthday, Jacky’s daughter gave him a card that she personally made herself – on the card, she wrote: “Love you, love you, love you the most”. Such sweet words from a daughter who obviously adores him, however Jacky plays down the moment: “Whether that is truly the case or not, it really doesn’t matter.” Nevertheless, it is obvious that for this benevolent father, the joy of having his daughters is already enough to make him happy.

Currently in the middle of a World Tour concert, Jacky specially requested from his management company to give him 1 month off for summer vacation so that he could be with his daughters. During his time off, he accompanied his daughters on a trip to the U.S. for vacation, as his eldest daughter Zoe (???) was interested in taking summer classes there; originally, she was excited about taking classes related to criminal investigation – smiling, Jacky ‘complained’: “Who knew that she would end up losing interest in it?”

Prior to his birthday on July 10th, Jacky had already completed 60 shows of his World Tour concert and it is estimated that he will continue to perform up until his birthday next year – at this rate, he will very likely exceed 100 consecutive shows for the 3rd time in his career, and also break his previous record of 105 shows [for his 2007 “The Year of Jacky Cheung” World Tour]. However, Jacky reveals that his intention is not to break records: “Actually, those numbers have no meaning for me. My only wish is to allow more people to experience a new and fresh performance this time around.” He does admit that when he broke records the first time, he did have a ‘that’s awesome!’ feeling, but the second time, he started to feel that ‘breaking records’ is superficial and no longer felt excited about the moment.

After his 2007 World Tour, Jacky initially thought that it was a good time to stop and perhaps retire: “But after 4 years, I discovered that I still had the energy and strength physically to continue performing – since I still had the ability, I figured I’d go ahead and do it.”

Jacky’s ½ Century Tour will resume again on 8/18 in Taiwan – he will perform for 4 days straight at the Taipei Coliseum. No matter how challenging the singing or dance moves may be, Jacky Cheung is ready to show his Taiwan fans that at 50 years old, he still has the charm and charisma to put on an awesome show!

Rumored for the past 17 years, Leo Ku and assistant Lorraine's 'romance' made public

Leo Ku and his assistant Lorraine have been rumored for 17 years, but their hearts were connected keeping their mouth shut all along. The other night at Leo's 39th birthday party, the couple finally stood still to cut the birthday cake and took pictures in public for the first time with nearly 50 artists there to witness the 'Leo-Lor Love'.

The rumors began in 1994 when Lorraine started working with Leo. The attentive and considerate Lorraine successfully captured Leo's heart. Eventually Leo hired her as his personal assistant. In the last several years, Lorraine was willing to be the woman behind Leo, and although the "Leo-Lor Love" is a known secret within the industry, the couple always kept their distance at public events. In 2008 when Leo won JSG's 'Most Popular Male Singer Award', Leo thanked his 'girlfriend' who was sitting in the audience tearing up: "I want to thank my assistant Lorraine." Their relationship was quite obvious.

Yesterday it was Leo's 39th birthday, his boss Albert Yeung (EEG) spent 6 figures to host a birthday party for him and invited Joey Yung, Twins, Sherman Chung, Vincy Chan, Carlos Ng, Gigi Fu, Cally Kwong and many more. EEG's boss Albert Yeung and Executives Mani Fok and Ng Yue all attended to celebrate with him. To avoid the media's attention, Lorraine and Leo purposely walked into the party separately. Leo dropped her off at the backdoor of the hotel to help her avoid the cameras, while he walked through the main door.

At around 12am, the birthday boy Leo started cutting the birthday cake with the other EEG singers and colleagues. Albert and Ng Yue gave birthday kisses and then suddenly called Lorraine over. Lorraine, who had never taken a photo with Leo in public, quickly dodged to one side, but eventually she was pulled out by Albert. The helpless Lorraine was like a little shy girl standing besides Leo as they take their first 'public photo'. When reporters asked Lorraine to give the birthday boy a kiss, Leo was heartbroken to see his 'girlfriend' getting played like that, then he quickly shook his head: "Cut the cake!" Besides him were Joey and Twins, who were screaming and posing with the V hand gestures behind them.

The playful Joey took the cake and smacked it on Leo's face, and to avoid Leo taking revenge on her, she quickly dashed off to hide behind Albert. Joey had always loved to bicker with Leo, yesterday seeing that it was her good friend's birthday, she played a big joke on him and told all the guests at the party to shout Lorraine's name. She laughed: "They are just so matching! (What's your blessings to them?) Long-live together, always of one mind!" Vincy said they matched too: "If they really are dating, I wish them the best. It's rare that colleagues can become a couple too!"

Leo said frankly that his birthday wish is good health. Asked when he's going to marry Lorraine? He stuttered: "I have no marriage plans, if it happens then it happens. I will tell everyone when it happens. (You need the female party ['lui fong'] to urge you before you do it?) He made a gag: "I haven't seen David Lui Fong in a long time." Asked if he'll be getting married after his concert? The naughty Leo pretended to kick reporters.

Stephen Wong silently waiting to get up top

Stephen Wong has already stepped into his 10th year in TVB. Perhaps it was because his personality is too passive that he still hasn't reached to the first or second line Siu Sang positions. Earlier his rumors got pretty heated up and suddenly he became 'lovesick'. However, he rather not have any news than to have negative news!

Looking smart and bright on the outside, Stephen has been in many TV series, and has left some impression on audience. He is currently accepting series after series in TVB and with a blink of an eye, it's already 10 years. To be successful in showbiz, aside from the hard work, the right time and place, relations with people is also very important. When asked why he still hasn't reached the first or second lead actor position yet and what is he lacking, Stephen said frankly: "I am a Sagittarius, should be a talkative person, but many times to avoid saying the wrong things, I rather not talk at all. Perhaps I have been too passive, silent and don't really know how get along with people." Earlier, Stephan was rumored with Natalie Tong and Coffee Lu. Suddenly becoming lovesick, he said: "Eat too much salty fish, worth the thirst. I got more magazine reports on my love life, many people will think that it's like that when your an artist, just think of it as promotion! But, I rather not have any news than to have negative news!"

In The Life and Times of a Sentinel, Stephen plays Lap Lan Sing Dak (Nalan Xingde), the first Qing Dynasty poet. He had to memorize long dialog, but does not think it's heavy or boring, it really challenges his skills. Any time Stephen has any difficulty in filming, he would think of big brother Kevin Cheng and second brother Kenneth Ma's advice: "Many times for us artists, if we can remember the dialog, then we can't remember the scene and positions. So I learned from my second brother (Kenneth), once I get the script, I would mark all the details down on a notepad. As for my big brother (Kevin), he told me to put in the effort to do the homework, no matter what role it is, must get into character. Many times, you have to hypnotize yourself, don't say you can't do it. A lot of times as an artist, you will go back to the situation beginning of your acting career, but you must tell yourself, I can do it. I won't compare with others."

As for the quiet singing voice, was it the speakers' problem? Ah Gil said: "It wasn't a problem for me, but when I got to the catwalk stage, I couldn't hear anything. We already tried our best!"

Kenny said frankly that he was very nervous on stage, it felt like BOY'Z went back to the old days, Steven said: "Before we had immature thoughts, we didn't know what we were doing on stage, but this time we really enjoyed the stage and the sense of satisfaction is hard to describe. I hope there will be more opportunities, the best would be we get our own concert." Asked if they'll react to their company? Kenny said: "Take it step by step, just like our new song Ready To Go. At first when EEG heard the song, they felt it's different from the past, and finally supported us to release the single. It was only when there was pretty good response that EEG decided to shoot a MV. Later, EEG saw my outline for the MV and then said why not we release an album too. Our new album is estimated to release in October." Cally Kwong, Joey Yung and her mother, C All Star, Sa Ba (Ah Sa's father) and many more supported Twins' concert.

Fala Chen And Yuang Cheung Gets Along Well Due To Westernized Background

TVB fadan Fala Chen (???) and newcomer Yuang Cheung (???) collaborated on a new series for the first time. Fala honestly said that she was deeply attracted to Yuang Cheung’s dancing scene and remarked that this incurred their co-star ‘Dancing King’ Michael Tse’s (???) jealousy. Yuang Cheung who was acting as a villain for the very first time in Lives of Omission was not afraid of leaving a bad impression on viewers and even professed that he hoped to take on more different roles as a challenge to himself.

Fala Chen, who was not familiar with Cantonese language when she first stepped into the industry, got along especially with TVB newcomer Yuang Cheung as they both had the same language-barrier problem initially and had grown up overseas.

New drama, Lives of Omission, marked the first collaboration between Fala and Yuang. Fala even expressed that she was attracted to one of Yuang’s dancing scene in Lives of Omission, “That scene left me feeling surprised. I felt that his preparation and development of character were all good. It (the dancing scene) was so good that Michael and Damien Lau (???) both gathered to watch. Michael even said that he almost couldn’t stand it any longer and wanted to join in.

If Yuang Cheung didn’t have the capability then he wouldn’t had been able to “agitate” Michael lahs!”

Lucky Enough To Receive Guidance From Seniors

To a newcomer, when filming, the camera’s shooting position, technique of saying dialogues, acting skills and etc has to be learned. Yuang Cheung professed that he was lucky enough to receive guidance from seniors during filming. However, aside from skills on how to film, senior Fala Chen also helped him improve in his Cantonese. Yuang Cheung declared, “I know Fala’s Cantonese wasn’t that good when she first stepped into this industry. Fala urged me to practice more as it wasn’t good to replace with English words when speaking. However, it is much easier when both of us communicate as we both understand what the other party is talking about.”

Unafraid To Act As A Bad Guy

Besides that, Fala also “showed” Yuang the path, informing Yuang of the “rules” one had to obey as a newcomer. As a newcomer in the past, Fala informed Yuang Cheung that one has to rely on his accumulated experience along the way. When acting, one has to know how to keep and release his emotions naturally, to let his character’s realistic personality come out. He must be bold to experiment and cannot be shy.

Acting as a villain in the new drama, Yuang Cheung proclaimed that he was unafraid of leaving audiences with a bad impression, “Well, so long as everyone knows that I’m not as bad in real life. If I only portray as per what my character thinks (and not actually doing those evil things in reality) then I think it should be alright. I will probably be acting something else the next time ’round and hope to have the opportunity to experiment with more different roles in the future.”

Side Note:

Ah K: In case some of you might not know, Yuang Cheung (???) is the younger brother of Kenny Bee’s notorious ex-wife Teresa Cheung (???). He has acted before in Dropping by Cloud Nine <??????> opposite Stephanie Ho. Some background scoop on Yuang Cheung is that unlike Fala who hailed from America, Yuang Cheung came from Canada and is a linguist who speaks English, Chinese, Japanese and French. He entered TVB without his family’s knowledge and did not contact Teresa. There have been rumors that Teresa and Yuang Cheung are half-siblings but unconfirmed as of date.

GEM's birthday wish is a HK Coliseum Concert Part 2 in September

August 16th is G.E.M 20th birthday. Yesterday she and 70 fans celebrated at the fan gathering. Her birthday wish was to step into HK Coliseum for a part 2 to her concert. Entering the 20s, GEM smiled and said she isn't afraid of getting old and doesn't feel her birthday is anything special. She said; "It's the same every year, but the 18th birthday was just bigger, never had that many parties in history. I had a special celebration with just friends, singing friends and fans." She also urged fans to not give her any gifts, and rather they should donate the gift money to charity. She said: "I told them to write letters to me, that is more meaningful."

Looking in 10 years into the future, GEM hopes to have her own family and good achievements in her career. She said: "I feel if I'm married by age 30, it's pretty much the limit already, having kids is just too far. However, I do hope to have them early because my mom really wants me to have kids. Our relationship is very close, I don't want my kids to have too much of a gap." When reporters asked if she received rumored boyfriend Yoga Lin's birthday gift? She said before reporters finished asking: "No! (What kind of gift do you want?) Another HK Coliseum concert."

It turns out that GEM's company already applied for Part 2 to her concert in September, and will know the answer tomorrow. GEM laughed: "I wanted to get the answer on my birthday and announce the good news too. If all works out, fans can buy another ticket and give it to me as a birthday gift." Or will there a human fast delivery to HK to surprise her? She laughed: "I don't know, I don't want to be frightened. The most frightening is the HK Coliseum concert doesn't approve." She smiled and said her company loves taking risks. If the application is successful, there will be less than a month before the concert, even promotions can't be done in time. She said: "Luckily, my preparations are doing OK because late this month, I will be heading over to Australia for a tour, lately I have been rehearsing constantly."
