Stephen Fung Tak Lun yesterday along with Feng Xiaogang, Tsui Hark, Doze Niu Chen-Zer, Pang Ho Cheung and other directors attended the Huayi Brothers 2012-2013 press conference in Beijing to announce the "Project H" new film production plan.

Currently working on the TAI CHI Trilogy, Fung Tak Lun announced that the first film TAI CHI 0 will be released in the Mainland at the end of September.  Reporters asked him about what he gave Shu Qi for her birthday, Director Feng shook his head and said, "Don't ask, I won't answer."  When asked about his new film's actress Angelababy, he immediately had nothing but praise.  "I used to feel Baby was fragile and weak.  After one dinner, I asked her to stop being gentle, get tough and make a movie with me.  She agreed right away and even personally performed the explosion scenes.  Her action scenes were completed beyond my expectation.  I feel she has a lot of potential, smart and luck with the audience.  In addition no man wouldn't want her to be his girlfriend.  She will be in the first two films but maybe not the third one."

He also revealed that earlier he purchased the Patrick Lung Kong directed STORY OF A DISCHARGED PRISONER (YING HUNG BOON SIK), which now he decided to let Taiwan director Niu Chen-Zer direct while he will produce.  He even hoped that Director Doze will use Baby.  Reportedly Huayi would
like Lau Ching Wan, Ethan Juan (Yuen King Tin), Feng Shaofeng and Mark Chao (Chiu Yau Ting) to star.  Ching Wan and Siu Tin would split Wong Wai's character.  Just released from prison Ching Wan was forced to return to the criminal world, even involving his brother Siu Tin, Siu Tin's mob brother Chiu Yau Ting and Feng Shaofeng would rescue him.  The female lead might be Angelababy and Mini Yang Mi.

Aside from TAI, Feng Xiaogang's 1942 has already been completed but no release date has been mentioned at the press conference.  Speaking of piracy, he angrily exploded with foul language, "Piracy has already gang raped us countless times, now it's still fx me!  Fx! Nancy Sit Ka Yin and Eric Tsang Chi Wai yesterday attended a Yuen Long restaurant opening.  Derek Yee Tung Sing earlier criticized this year's Hong Kong Film Award for being more sentimental than professional.  Chi Wai said that on May 5th a Hong Kong Film Award review meeting will take place and said that this year's focus might have been on a few artists, but he thought the Hong Kong Film Award election process was very sound.  Chi Wai admitted that sentimental score was inevitable, ultimately the event was to support Hong Kong film.  He said, "Speaking of sentimentality, A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) earlier also won many awards.  Winning again this time was very normal.  If the results were too even they would resemble everyone getting a piece."  Did he disagree with what Anthony Wong Chau Sun said about one vote per person?  Chi Wai said that the Hong Kong Film award actually has been an one vote per person election with each affiliated organization.  Unless it was like overseas film awards with different international filmmakers on the jury to avoid regional sentimental score.  However, he too wanted Carina Lau Ka Ling and Lau Ching Wan to win because they are Hong Kong actors as well.  Chi Wai said, "I also respect Jiang Wen very much, he stayed from the beginning to the end.  LET THE BULLETS FLY had many nominations.  Finally (William) Chang Suk Ping won.  Earlier (Peter) Chan Ho Sun received 11 nominations but went home empty handed."

HARWICK LAU IS NOT "PLAYING AROUND" WITH MINI YANG

Mini Yang Mi, Harwick Lau Hoi Wai and Chrissie Chau Sau Na are working on their new film HOLD JUI OI (HOLD ON TO LOVE) in Hainan.  Earlier Lau Hoi Wai and girlfriend Yang Mi were rumored to have broken up.  For their first film together, their first scene was a break up.  Yet off camera they were very close.

Lau Hoi Wai revealed that later he and Chau Sau Na will shoot a bed scene.  Yang Mi said that she will not observe but Lau Hoi Wai wanted her to visit the set.  Will he propose to her?  He declined to answer and said that his schedule was too tight.  He stressed that he was not "playing around" in the relationship.

Emperor celebrates it's 70th Anniversary

Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Joey Yung Cho Yi and others yesterday led Emperor singers and artists to attend the Emperor Group 70th Anniversary.  Boss Alberty Yeung Sau Sing, boss lady Lu Xiaoman and executives, singers appeared in convertibles.  Yeung Sau Sing and his wife even walked the red carpet hand in hand.  Almost 100 employees lined up in the shape of 70.

Yeung Sau Sing announced the company will donate HK$10 million to four different charity organizations.

Ting Fung wore sunglasses and constantly waved in good spirit.  During his interview he denied that his company will go public.  "I haven't thought that far ahead, I am still thinking about it.  However, the rumor refers to the Growth Enterprise Market but if I plan it should be on the big board.  First I have to finish the work on hand.  At the end of May it will open in Beijing."

Ting Fung has two sons, would he deliberately cultivate them to be successors at the company?  Ting Fung said, "I haven't thought about it, this suggestion is pretty good but the younger son is better.  He isn't as mischievous as his brother.  He is more stable.  (Why not find a girlfriend to cultivate your sons?)  That's crazy, I never have such a plan."  Ting Fung clarified again that he never saw Mini Yang Mi outside work.  Because he was dull, even when he worked in the Mainland he would not have too many women around him.  Now work came first, his love life would have to wait.

Chapman To Man Jat revealed that he just renewed his contract with Emperor and said that the collaboration has been pleasant.  He said, "I didn't know how to handle money before and I spent unwisely.  After years with the company, just last year alone I already made eight movies.  Both sides are very pleased and the contract renewal was very reasonable.  (Raise?)  My salary always goes directly from the company to my wife, the old lady every month gives me HK$15,000 for living expenses.  How much am I worth I really have no idea.  The old lady said that it should be in eight figures."

Kay Tse gets in shape for action film

Kay Tse On Kay, Fama, Joyce Cheng Yun Yi and Rubberband yesterday attended a voter registration concert.  Kay and Universal's contract termination issue has not been resolved yet.  She joked that even if she registered to vote she might not be able to help herself, but lately her manager has been working hard on it and she was in no hurry.  Since music was on hold Kay focused on movies instead.  Next month she will work on a costume action film.  Because her character excels in martial arts and handheld weapons, she has been learning poses and stance.  Also due to her agility in the film, Kay has been working hard on losing weight to be convincing with her performance.  She hoped to lose ten pounds.  Kay would study martial art with her husband's elder and her husband knew Wing Chun as well.  Kay said, "I know all he knows, and this time I have to wield weapons."
