Jing Chang's [Crash X Amadeus] sells over 30,000 copies, she promises to wear bridal gown if 100,000 are sold

On the 23rd, Jing Chang held a press conference for her 2nd book [Crash X Amadeus – Jing Chang’s Austria Prelude] at Riverside Live House. She collaborated with selected orchestra students from National Taiwan Normal University to perform classical remixes of tracks from her recent EP, “Lovers’ Knot” and “Chun Ni/Spring Mud.”

Just in preorders, [Crash X Amadeus] has already sold more than 30,000 copies. Though it hasn’t even been released in stores, the book is already #1 on two of Taiwan’s top book preorder sales charts, Kingstone and books.com.tw. After Show Luo, it is said that Jing is an upcoming “Gold Typhoon” author.

To celebrate, Jing broke though the paper cartoon of Mozart Amadeus Wolfgang that she drew herself. For this book, Jing wore a bridal gown for the first time and admitted that every girl wishes to be beautiful when walking down the aisle. With her good sales, Jing promised to reporters that if the book sold more than 100,000 copies, she would wear a bridal gown without pants. But if the press wanted her to reveal anything else, Jing remarked: “No way, there’s nothing else good to look at!”

Although her trip to Austria only lasted around 10 days, Jing’s impression of her first time to Europe has been set in place. She felt that the scenery was unrealistically beautiful. But although the view was good, Jing commented that the weather was beyond cold. As for European cuisine, the staples included bread and cold food. Jing, who usually eats warm porridge for breakfast, acknowledged this point: “At the very end, I couldn’t take it anymore so for breakfast, I ate instant noodles!” During the book’s photoshoot, the weather in Austria dropped to around 1-2 degrees Celsius. While Jing still had to wear shorts and pose handsomely, she thought in her mind: “I’m freezing to death!”

When visiting Mozart’s birthplace, Jing left deeply awestruck in knowing that the renowned composer had an unending talent of being able to write a song with one single component – time. And so, in Jing’s heart, Mozart is like a musical Superman. On the other hand, Mozart had married the wrong person, one who was over extravagant and spoiled. With this in mind, Jing expressed that it doesn’t matter if her other half is a rocker or musician. But she does hope that the other person is someone who loves music. That way, the two of them will find joy in something they share happily!

When she was in Austria, Jing also thought back to her grandfather. He was the one who had inspired her the most on her road to becoming an artist. When she was young, Jing’s grandfather would play and sing on a pipe organ. According to Jing, her grandpa was even cooler than Wang Lee Hom.

During the press conference, Jing’s mother specially came on stage to gift her with douhua (traditional Chinese tofu dessert). With this, Jing recalled that in her childhood, she wasn’t allowed to eat snacks. Only her grandfather would occasionally take them out on a secret outing to buy some douhua or popsicles to eat. And so this warm douhua represents one of Jing’s joys in life.
