Singer IU shared a warm hug with her role model Corinne Bailey Rae.
IU stood stage for Corinne Bailey Rae’s first Korean concert at 8:30 PM on March 10th, for which IU was invited as the opening act.
At the end of a passionate performance of ‘A Story Only I Didn’t Know’ and ‘Raindrop’, IU revealed her excitement when she stated to the crowd, “Let’s go meet the goddess herself.”
After waiting backstage, IU suddenly appeared on stage for Corinne Bailey Rae’s performance of ‘Put Your Records On.’ After showcasing a perfectly harmonious duet, they gave each other a hug.
IU has previously stated that Corinne Bailey Rae has always been her role model. Returning to her waiting room after exiting the stage, upon seeing IU’s blushing face, a fan told her “You must really like her”, to which IU answered with a smile.
Corinne Bailey Rae’s first Korean concert received a great response, with over 2,000 fans in attendance.
