On November 22th, Pledis Entertainment revealed that After School member Juyeon has been hospitalized. The agency stated that she was taken to and examined at a hospital yesterday due to acute inflammation of her kidney.
Juyeon has been busy preparing for her acting career and her group's new album "Diva" in Japan. However, she will halt her activities for the moment as she receives treatment on the hospital.
Pledis Entertainment explained, "She will discontinue with her activities until she recovers and will have to wait to promote After School's second Japanese single."
The agency continued, "Don't worry since her illness can cured quickly through rest and medicine."
After School has been working hard on the preparations for their Japanese activities. Their second Japanese album "Diva" is set to release in Japan on November 23rd and all the members including Juyeon are looking forward for it.
Their Japanese agency Avex remarked, "Juyeon said she would take part in her activities in Japan but we dissuaded her so for her activities thereafter. We regard an artist's reconvery much more important."
