After so many years, Andy Lau continued to be the spokesman for the green tea as he shoot the latest commercial earlier. In past commercials, the background had always been nature and animals, but this time he took up the role of a successful handsome man which is different from previous commercials.The stylist specially picked a gray color western suit to accommodate the European buildings as the background, it gave a refreshing and carefree feeling.
The director and cameraman wanted to represent the commercial in different angles, thus requested Andy to do many different expressions, movements to express it with body language. The director also gave Andy a test which is asking him to do 18 ‘Chok’ (act cool poses) expression and action, all must be done naturally. This, of course is no problem for Andy as he even won applause from the crew members.
One of the scenes required Andy to walk on a 10 inches tall wall and did several care-free movements, he also must appeared relaxed. Actually the width of the wall could only allow one person to walk on it, but he walked on the wall for close to 10 times and several times did some dangerous stunts to scare the crew members, indeed mischievous.
In the commercial, Andy need to run up and down different kinds of staircases, for such simple actions, it’s easy task for Andy. Although the director was satisfied for the take, but the always serious Andy automatically requested to do the same action several times for perfection, thus he ran close to 1000 steps of stairs within two days, the crew members really took their hats off for his serious work attitude.
During free time of the shooting, he also took time off to entertain himself by taking a few “floating” photographs.
