According to YGunited website, an official revealed, "After being eliminated from "Superstar K3", it was made known that Kim joined YG Entertainment as a trainee. She's determined to become a singer in Korea, and despite having received love calls from other companies, she rejected them all for YG."
The official went on to explain, "Yuna Kim's Korean is still not fluent yet so she was unfortunately eliminated for forgetting the lyrics in the middle of her audition. Considering that she is now under the training system of YG, we're sure that she'll grow to become a better singer."
This is the third "Superstar K" alum that has been accepted into YG Entertainment. Other trainees from the series would be Kang Seung-yoon and Kim Eun-bi from "Superstar K2".
Yuna Kim was a contestant who hailed from the States, who failed to make it into the "Top 10" list of the show.
