[NEWS] Kim Seung Woo, cast in City Conquest as Kim Hyun Joong’s father

Actor Kim Seung Woo has been cast in drama City Conquest and will be making a return to the small screen.

Accordingly, through ties with ‘Iris’ director Yang Yoon Ho and PD Baek Jin Dong, Kim Seung Woo has made a decision to film City Conquest.

In City Conquest, Kim Seung Woo is set to star as Baek Seung Hyun, who secretly took care of the president’s secret funds for military development and possess a certain hidden influence and power, showing off his masculine aspect.

Baek Seung Hyun will play as Kim Hyun Joong’s father in the script, a character who finishes with all matters accurately and reliably, as well as a stout husband who takes care of his family boundlessly.

Even though Kim Seung Woo will only appear in five episodes, he is a very important chracter in the drama’s story development. It is expected that much anticipation will be placed on this chracter and his overwhelming charisma.

The drama, which will be adapted from the manga, is a story about the main lead character, who resented the father that abandoned himself as his mother while he was young. As a result, Bae Mi Reu (Kim Hyun Joong) grew up harboring thoughts of revenge against society. The drama aims to start airing during year end, with filming starting from 10 July onwards in Tokyo, Nikko Edomura, Tochigi prefecture.

[NEWS] Rain pays his respects with fellow soldiers

On June 25th, SBS‘s ‘Good Morning’, hosted by Park Eun Kyung, Kim Hwan, and Jo Hyung Gi, broadcasted a military event that took place on the 22nd, when Rain and his fellow “entertainment soldiers” visited Seoul’s National Cemetery.

On this day, private first class and soon to be corporal, Jung Ji Hoon (Rain), soldier Park Hyo Shin, and soldier Lim Joo Han held an open conference at Seoul’s National Cemetery before proceeding to pay their respects to the deceased patriots and national heroes of South Korea.

Rain and his fellow soldiers are a part of a particular force within the military known as the “entertainment soldiers.” Their duty, as their title suggests, is to entertain military units across the country by holding concerts and hosting TV as well as radio programs.

As the DJ of the Korean Forces Network (KFN), Rain led the live broadcast of KFN’s radio program at Seoul’s National Cemetery. It is said that, without a mistake, the singer was able to expertly carry out the honors, showcasing his capabilities as an entertainment soldier.

Fans who watched the broadcast commented, “After going to the military, Rain has become even more awesome,” “Rain has earned the trust [of the military],” and “It’s nice to see him after such a long time.”

Recently, there was a rumor that former Sugar member Ayumi is in a relationship with popular Jpop artist Gackt and looks like these rumors have received different reactions from Koreans and Japanese. On the 27th of June broadcast of SBS "Midnight TV Entertainment" they interviewed random citizens walking in the streets in Japan particularly in Shibuya and Tokyo.

[NEWS] JJ Project to remake Yoo Seung Joon’s “Na Na Na”

Rookie group JJ Project will do a remake of Yoo Seung Joon’s 90s hit track, “Na Na Na”.

Producer Kim Hyung Suk called JJ Project to be a part of his MBC music program ‘MM CHOICE’. JJ Project seemed overwhelmed by Kim Hyung Suk’s lovecall and not being able to talk after being invited in the “Music United” project.

The second season of “MM Choice” will be all about upbeat, fun, summer party music and will feature artists like JJ Project, The Cheers, guitarist Kim Sae Hwang, and sexy diva DJ lip 2 shot.

As a part of “MM Choice,” JJ Project will do a remake of Yoo Seung Joon’s “Na Na Na”, which was released back in 1998. Although JJ Project is not familiar with the song since it was released when they were only 4 years old, the duo shows their passion on creating raps and choreography for the song.

[NEWS] A Pink to begin follow-up promotions with “Bubibu”

Girl group A Pink announced that they will soon begin their follow-up promotions with fan-picked track, “Bubibu”.

During the group’s promotion of latest title track “Hush”, A Pink ran a poll through Mnet, asking fans to choose which song the group should perform next. Between “Bubibu” and “Cat”, fans voted for “Bubibu” with a whooping 87.8% of the votes.

A Cube Entertainment stated, “‘Bubibu’ was actually the runner-up to ‘Hush’ when we were picking for the title song. Since fans sent a lot of love to it during the short performance on their comeback stage, we are expecting a lot for their follow-up promotions.”

A Pink will wrap up promotions for “Hush” on the June 29th episode of ‘Music Bank‘ and begin “Bubibu” promotions in early July.

It has been revealed that SISTAR will be making a comeback with a summer special album "Loving U" and their agency did not hesitate to bring out some cash to make the music video as awesome as it can be.
