[NEWS] Boyfriend to woo Japanese fans

Newbie six-member boy band Boyfriend has its sights set on wooing Japanese fans. The band, which made its debut in Korea last May with the single "Boyfriend", says it will officially begin promotions in Japan starting this summer.

In preparation for its debut, the band recently launched a Japanese Web site, boyfriend-jp.com. Its Japanese debut album "We Are Boyfriend" will be released on June 6 and will contain seven tracks, six of which have also been released in Korea.

In another remarkable move, the band will hold a special fan meeting called "First Date with Boyfriend in Japan" at the Budokan on June 30. The promotion is set to garner much attention, as the Budokan is a famed concert hall usually hired out by big names. The event will give the band the opportunity to meet and communicate with its Japanese fans.

The teenage idol group is no stranger to creative strategies. Last December, Boyfriend surprised Korean fans with pictures of its members inserted into 300 randomly-selected CDs of the group's third single, "I'll Be There".

Andy Lau has yet to celebrate his Best Actor Victory

Last night fresh out of the oven Best Actor Andy Lau Tak Wa and Best Director Ann Hui On Wa attended an event. Wa Jai has known the boss of the company for years. Every time he performed a concert he would have a lot of very Chinese ideas from the owner. Thus Wa Jai yesterday attended in support. Has he celebrated since he won Best Actor? Wa Jai only said "No!" and went to the event.

Hui On Wa said that today she will head to Beijing for a film festival. As for Derek Yee Tung Sing's comment that this year's Hong Kong Film Award was too sentimental and lacked professionalism, Ann said that sometimes it has been. She felt that what Yee Tung Sing referred to was very widespread and not just in one category. She said, "Everyone help Hong Kong film and would add some sentimental points. I too am a beneficiary." She agreed with Yee Tung Sing that a review was needed. After examining it the event would improve, only then would the Hong Kong Film Award be better and better. Has she discussed this with the actors? "It just happened a few days ago, I haven't seen other actors. (Would you meet with them to discuss it?) I wouldn't discuss it, I would only share my opinions. (Who was your pick of Best Actor?) I of course picked Lau Tak Wa, of course (Lau) Ching Wan did very well too. (Do you plan to work with Wa Jai again?) Not yet."

Wong Jing complains to Gordon Chan

After director Derek Yee Tung Sing earlier accusing the Hong Kong Film Award for not being professional enough, the Hong Kong Film Award chair Gordon Chan Ka Seung said that everyone has a right to speak. Director Wong Jing yesterday wrote on his microblog, "Chan Ka Seung, you say at the Hong Kong Film Award everyone has the right to express opinions, but ten years ago when I spoke up, why were people who express their opinions today able to lead the public and raise a Cultural Revolution style attack against me? Can you give me an explanation?"

Wong Jing stressed that he was only complaining. "I was just talking about what happened over a decade ago."

However, Wong Jing last night posted again that in recent years the Hong Kong Film Award winning films were often previewed in the Mainland at the end of the year then went wide release in March before the Hong Kong Film Award, which would affect voter desire. He wrote, "Films that were previewed should be prohibited from being re-released before the vote, otherwise there is no public trust to speak of."

Chan Ka Seung stressed on his microblog that the Hong Kong Film Award gave one vote per person with no room for fraud.

Nicholas Tse claims Mini Yang door knocking is just a rumor

Nicholas Tse Ting Fung yesterday attended an Asian Leadership Series forum at the University of Science and Technology. The form began at 7PM, many reporters waited around before then but did not see Ting Fung. Later Ting Fung's assistant Cousin appeared and said that Ting Fung was already inside. Because this forum was only for students, the media were unable to attend; all students must register first and show their student identification for admission.

When the forum began, students inside could be heard of screaming "How handsome". The forum lasted a hour and 15 minutes. Ting Fung left through the back. Cousin asked the media to back up a little so reporters could do their jobs for a minute. Ting Fung had his hands in his pockets and posed like his father Patrick Tse Yin for reporters to take pictures. Recently Ting Fung was linked to Mainland star Mini Yang Mi in rumors. Reportedly Yang Mi went to Ting Fung's hotel and knocked on his door. Ting Fung was asked whether Yang Mi really knocked on his door? Cousin immediately interrupted and said, "Let's talk about today's topic." Reporters asked whether anyone knocked on his door. Ting Fung finally spoke up. "Aside from work, I haven't seen her anywhere else. This is just a rumor." Was he interested in Yang Mi? He smiled and left in his vehicle.

Shawn Yue accepts a relationship with an older woman

Shawn Yue Man Lok and Aimee Chan Yan Mei yesterday attended a television announcement event. Ah Lok said that he has always wanted to be a 3D television. Did he want to watch 3D SEX AND ZEN (3D YUK PO TUEN)? He said that he could watch many 3D films, mainly his mother has never seen a 3D film because she rarely went out.

Yue Man Lok and Mini Yang Mi worked togehter on LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING). Recently Yang Mi reportedly while working with Nicholas Tse Ting Fung on THE BULLET VANISHES (SIU SUT DIK JI DAN) she knocked on his door. Ah Lok immediately joked, "I am really bad at this. Ting Fung can actually cross sets and cause trouble." He said that when he first made LOVE, director Pang Ho Cheung already joked that he made him a chance but in the end he could not do anything. Did anyone knock on his door? He said yes, but it was a man. Reporters pointed out that he and Yang Mi had a kiss scene in the film but they did not "click". Ah Lok said, "I am really bad, I have to examine that."

Ah Lok said that he might be more attractive to older women. His previous girlfriends were all older than him. The oldest one was seven years his senior. He admitted that he could accept a relationship with an old woman, but less than ten years of age difference would be the best. He was afraid that his family might not be able to accept it. He said, "I am not destined to have anyone young in my lifetime." Did he believe that Ting Fung and Yang Mi "clicked"? He said that with so many such news items in a year he thought knocking on doors might be taking too much initiative.

Kevin Cheng hopes to have a son that loves to talk back

TVB new series Gloves Come Off (GCO) starts off with high ratings, averaging at 31 points (~2.01 million viewers). Yesterday Kevin Cheng, Nancy Wu, Selena Li, Natalie Tong and Katy Kung were promoting for the series. Kevin will be heading to Xiamen very soon to shoot for a new Mainland series and won't be able to do promotions in HK until May. However, he has confidence on the series because its a fresh new topic and is eye catching to male viewers. It was said GCO is a rip off of the film A Fighter's Blues. Kevin said: "The TV series is 25 episodes, so can explain the story in a different way, in a more enriching way. It's hard to compare TV series to a film."

First time playing opposite of a child star, Kevin greatly praises that there are sparks between him and the young actor. He said: "I'm in the pit too, I should have a son. I like him a lot, it's a good thing that he likes to talk back, better than having no excitement, that's how there is hope in the acting. If I'm lucky to have a son in the future, I hope he'll have that type of personality." Kevin has already exchanged phone numbers with the young actor and will be keeping in touch. "His grades in school are pretty good, hope my future son will be just as smart."

In the series, Nancy plays a mute and deaf boxer, where she had to cram herself into [learning] sign language and boxing. She shouted expressing the difficulty: "For the sign language, I can still take it home to study, but the most difficult was thast I had to learn boxing over a short period of time, had to train myself to box like a pro. It was physically challenging, but I still enjoyed the entire process." Nancy's first opponent was Tsui Wing, and then she had to fight a real female boxer. Even if the female boxer went easy on her, Nancy still felt her hits were painful. During filming, she got herself some injuries on her thigh. Also, yesterday at the promotion Selena carelessly exposed her red laced underpants, making her feel very embarrassed.

'Beyond the Realm of Conscience' didn't steal 'The Greatness of a Hero' idea

TVB series The Greatness of a Hero was seen as the 'bottom of the warehouse' series when it first premiere in HK. However, as the series gets closer to the end, the report shows an average rating of 32 point, peaking at 36 points. Looks like the series won back some justice. TVB's Director of Drama Production (Catherine Tsang) expressed the series has its strengths that is able to withstand the test of time. It's a 'stock' production, not a 'bottom of the warehouse' production.

Towards the high ratings, Kent Cheng felt especially happy that the ratings weren't affected by the Easter holiday. "I heard after our series finished shooting, someone saw the series, stole the idea and engaged in some 'infringement' producing another palace focused drama thereafter. This caused the HK broadcast of The Greatness of a Hero delayed time after time." Reporters later asked Catherine regarding to Kent's comment, was the palace drama he referred to Beyond the Realm of Conscience? She said: "There will not be 'infringement' happening in TVB. Whenever a series completes, only the series producer and myself can see it. I believe there is some misunderstanding, I will explain to Kent."

Suen Ho Ho Talks About Wayne Lai, Kenneth Ma & Jessica Hsuan

This is a translation of the sections in which former TVB copy editor Suen Ho Ho (whose works include "Virtues of Harmony II", "The Silver Chamber of Sorrows", "Marriage of Inconvenience", "When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West", "You're Hired", "The King of Snooker", "Beauty Knows No Pain", "Sisters of Pearl", "L'Escargot", "The Hippocratic Crush", and "Ghetto Justice 2") talked about Wayne Lai, Kenneth Ma, and Jessica Hsuan.

It is known that Wayne Lai has been working in TV for many years, but he never rushed to climb up, thereby turning down evil roles, because of this. He would not request to have his character Wu Chengsi in "The Greatness of a Hero" to become likable. Thus, the success that he has gained today is not only well-deserved, but also commands public respect and support.

Remember when preparing for "The Hippocratic Crush", lead Kenneth Ma was still filming "Three Kingdoms RPG"...only able to rest for three or four hours every day...basically half-dead, but needed him to come to hear the story. This is the first time working with Kenneth...didn't expect him to be so professional. He does not only listen, but [he] also listens attentively. When discussing certain segments, he would be so touched that [his] eyes would become red and teary...extremely immersed. Thus, 'Yat Kin Tau', which was performed by him, became very popular afterward...it's not that there's not reason for it.

Also worked with Jessica Hsuan once a few years ago. Because the filming was rushed at that time, and the series crew was rushing day and night, she did not have time to look at the later part of the script...was not clear about the the story's development, so specially came and asked for an explanation of the later part of the storyline. After hearing it, she was very nervous because [she] was worried that her previous execution was incorrect. As a TV station's first-line fa dan, but was willing to candidly admit that there was a problem with her execution...a person with such an attitude, there are not that many in the entire TV station...the majority would only blame the script for not being good enough.

Kelly Chen Reveals Photos of Youngest Son: Resembles Daddy

Kelly Chen's youngest son Lau Sam (Xiaolongbao) has finally been revealed. Today, Xiaolongbao is one-month old. Kelly specially revealed her son's photos on her blog. [Can] see that Xiaolongbao's eye-liner is very long, and should have big eyes like his mom, but many think that Xiaolongbao resembles daddy more; however, his mouth and chin resemble Kelly. Big brother Lau Sing (Shrimp Dumpling Boy) also kisses [his] younger brother, and would also go over to say hi to [his] younger brother every day after school. Kelly accepted a radio interview over the telephone, and expressed that breastfeeding is not laborious, but there are times that she would have back pain. She does not plan on having a full moon banquet or a one-hundred day banquet...will only have a simple family dinner. Whether [she] would try for a girl is dependent on fate. In a half-month's time, she will officially begin work by recording a new album. The cake shop in which she is the ambassador for also specially designed a 'Xiaolongbao' dessert for Xiaolongbao for her to give to her family and friends.

DEREK YEE EXPLAINS HIS HONG KONG FILM AWARD CRITICISM

courtesy of on.cc

Derek Yee Tung Sing criticized the Hong Kong Film Award for losing professionalism in preference for sentimentality on his microblog and immediately led widespread online discussions.  Some even thought that Yee Tung Sing's comment was just venting for his brother Paul Chun Pui's Best Supporting Actor defeat.  Yee Tung Sing immediately wrote on his microblog that he too voted for Lo Hoi Pang and was not venting for his brother.

Yee Tung Sing yesterday explained his "sentimentality over professionalism" comment, citing that the Hong Kong Film Award voters' thinking of "Because of Hong Kong film is at a disadvantage, vote for Hong Kong film" is wrong.  Because professionals need to be level headed, they need to understand everyone would vote for elders or encouraging alternative subjects.  Yet they should have a line to maintain fairness.  He also praised that Jiang Wen's LET THE BULLETS FLY had a screenplay!  Yee Tung Sing even said that next month the Hong Kong Directors' Guild will hold a meeting to discuss the Hong Kong Film Award.  He will reflect to chair Gordon Chan Ka Seung.

Yee Tung Sing's comment was aimed at this year's Best Director winner Ann Hui On Wa, Best Actress Deanie Ip Tak Han, Best Supporting Actress So Hung Shuen.  So Hung Shuen respected Yee Tung Sing's comment because everything had the freedom of speech.  Yee Tung Sing also said that he and Hui On Wa were good friends, he only wanted to make a suggestion to the Hong Kong Film Award.

Roger yesterday said that after the Hong Kong Film Award he already flew to the U.S., first to San Francisco to attend A SIMPLE LIFE premiere.  He said that this time the film premiered in San Francisco because the bank that his nephew worked at sponsored A SIMPLE LIFE.  The bank through his nephew invited him to attend the premiere.  Roger's mother, sister and brother in law attended.  It was Mother Lee's first viewing of A SIMPLE LIFE, after which she immediately recalled a lot of memories and thought it was very thoughtful and very touching.  She even applauded Roger with encouragement.

Roger said that Mother and Sister Peach were the same age.  This year she is already 80, but she does everything herself.  She looked so well kept that some mistook Mother Lee for Roger's wife, which made Roger very proud of his mother.  As for the rumored A SIMPLE LIFE prequel, Roger said that he had no such plan for now because the production would be very large.  He said, "Not including costumes and props, because the story would go from the 50s to the 90s, casting characters of different eras would already be a very big deal.  With many different changes in the social environment, the production would have certain difficulties."

PANG HO CHEUNG'S MUSIC VIDEO IS MORE FEMININE

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) after 20 days in release made over HK$25 million.  Director Pang Ho Cheung as promised shot DON'T ASK WHO I AM music video and guaranteed that it would only be shown in Hong Kong cinemas to show his appreciation to viewers.

Earlier the director shot in a Chai Wan studio.  The director that day put on makeup while studying both Linda Wong Hing Ping's original version and Shawn Yue Man Lok's parody version to come up with how to make his version even funnier.  When the director started to change, the set was already filled with endless laughter.  In particular with his extremely outstanding figure and the trademark sunglasses, his flirtatious expressions had everyone rolling on the floor.  Halfway through the shoot the director and the photographer plotted to grab the crew and forced them in front of the camera, making everyone on the set shattered.

DON'T ASK WHO I AM singer Wong Hing Ping yesterday also visited the set.  As soon as she arrived and saw the director in costume she could not stop laughing.  "I can't tell it's you at all!"  Linda even praised the director as pretty from the side and even personally fixed the director's hair.  The director asked Linda about the authentic "butterfly hands".  Linda said that she thought no one could surpass Yue Man Lok, she did not expect the director to have such great skin.  Although the director wore glasses, his eyes actually were very large.  The director felt satisfied with his own female disguise and said that this time was his first performance without glasses.  He even said that several guys asked him for his number.  Linda joked, "If you don't stop I am really going to hit you!"

The director said that the new music video will be shown during the LOVE IN THE BUFF end credit starting the 19th and will not appear online.  Pirates will have no way to pirate it.  Only Hong Kong viewers will be able to enjoy it at the movies.  The director said that when everyone finished with Yue Man Lok's video they would see his appearance.  Linda helplessly said, "Wouldn't it be too much?  I urge everyone to take a seat first.  I am a little worried that maybe in 20 years people would feel yours would be the official versions of DON'T ASK WHO I AM.....then what?"  As for who was better, the director joked that he was more feminine and more erotic while Lok Jai's face was more masculine.

Sam Hui rushes Gigi Leung to have a baby

Sam Hui Koon Kit's four show concert wrapped up two nights ago. Sam invited his "long lost" god daughter Gigi Leung Wing Kei to be his guest. God father Sam urged the recently married Gigi to have a baby soon to satisfy his grandchild wish.

Sam in the last show was very high and sang until almost midnight. He sang his final encore SONG OF PRODIGAL SON with the audience before completing the show. The atmosphere was both cheerful and warmth. When he shook hands with the audience and bid farewell, he even said that he would miss them and hopefully would see them soon. Sam's god daughter Gigi performed in a red dress. They sang TODAY together and Sam played the guitar.

Gigi after the performance asked for a kiss from her god father. Sam joked that he and Gigi have been lost for several years without any contact. Gigi asked her god father not to hide himself and appear more, as everyone missed him very much. Sam mischievously said to Gigi, "As soon as you have news about a grandchild tell me, I am jonesing for grandchildren......hee......" Gigi promised to inform him as soon as she knew and made her god father very happy.

In addition, during the karaoke with the audience Sam had so much respect that he got Wong Hung Sau and Cally Kwong Mei Wan who had a sore throat to sing. Sam made Nat Chan Pak Cheung sing AH LONG LOVE SONG but Sam did not want to "neglect" Lady Sau next to him and asked them to say a sweet duet. Originally Lady Sau who did not want to sing under Sam's sincere invitation made an exception. Kwong Mei Wan who has not performed for awhile despite her sore throat could not turn down Sam's enthusiastic invitation. Despite the difference in male and female voices, she made the adjustment and sang TWIN STAR LOVE SONG and received the applause of the entire crowd.

Always heavy on the family concept, Sam even treated his fans like family. Last night after the show, he and the Hui family posed for a photo backstage. He said that everyone was together happily at the Hong Kong Coliseum for another unforgettable and happy memory.

Chrissie Chau plays sexy nurse

The Van Fan Yat Sun, Deng Jiajia, Chrissie Chau Sau Na starred film ANY OTHER SIDE (YEH DIM NGAI TAM) will open on April 19 in Hong Kong. The film has three stories. Chau Sau Na for her performance studied the Thai classic horror film ALONE. Chau Sau Na will play twin sisters. At the same time in another segment she would play nurses with Taiwan's Jill Hsu (Tsui Kit Yi) and Mainland's Deng Jiajia in another segment.

Whenever they wore their nurses on location, they would attract many viewers. Deng Jiajia's nurse uniform also mysteriously vanished, at first they thought fans stole it. The next day, Deng Jiajia, Chau Sau Na and Hill Hsu's nurse uniforms all vanished from the dressing rooms without their locks being tampered with. The costume team could only make new uniforms. Yet the next night, their new nurse uniforms again disappeared from locked room. To keep from disrupting the production, director Fang Yaxi could only assign people to take turn and watch the uniforms.

The actresses were worried after the uniform disappearance. "Dinosaur Girl" Taiwan singer Jill Hsu made her first horror film. She revealed that ghosts often haunted her and did not dare to watch ghost films.

Francis Ng criticizes Hong Kong Film Award

Francis Ng Chun Yu yesterday attended a shoe event as a model. Speaking of his good friend Lau Ching Wan losing the Best Actor Hong Kong Film Award, Chun Yu instead congratulated him. He said that no award instead would bring more friends. He also criticized flaws that were unfair to Mainland films in Hong Kong Film Award.

Ng Chun Yu yesterday modeled new sneakers and made some female guests screamed. Chun Yu joked that normally he was used to hearing this type of screaming at home, as his wife would often yell "Dinner!" or "Keep an eye on the baby!" He pointed out that his son is now 3, constantly screams and is a natural actor. He said, "My son is always acting in front of us. Sometimes he pretends to cry, sometimes he pretends to be nauseous while eating." He pointed out that his son's favorite was Bruce Lee. Now he has a Bruce Lee hair style and would often talk about Bruce Lee. However Chun Yu did not want his son to be in the business. He could accept working with his son once in commemoration but not forever. He would not actively cultivate him in this filed. Has his son watched his movies? He pointed out that his son was curious why Papa often appeared on the television. Earlier during the Hong Kong Film Award, his son saw Lau Ching Wan and screamed "Uncle Sean". Originally he wanted to ask his son to scream "Uncle Sea Win", but his son would not. Later after he learned Ching Wan lost, he kept screamed "Uncle Sean lose". Chun Yu joked that his son might be a psychic.

Was he disappointed for Ching Wan? Chun Yu said, "I congratulated him, this way he would have more friends. If not he would be like a certain someone who lost all his friends." Although Ching Wan lost he won over the public. Chun Yu said, "If you need something (award) to prove yourself, you can have one made on Garden Street. Whether you win or not already has become less and less of a problem." Chun Yu also said that the Hong Kong Film Award voting standard is unfair to Mainland films and nominees because they do not have Hong Kong social network, which would cost them half the score. He said, "The voters wouldn't be as emotionally invested, which would have no effect on Hong Kong people but would be unfair to Mainlanders. Yet everything has flaws, the Oscars would take care of themselves too." Did he feel the Hong Kong Film Award was not open, fair and just enough? He joked that he was only making a comment after the fact. He would only examine others and never examine himself.

In July he will work on TVB's TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES 2 (CHUNG SEUNG WON SIU 2). Originally the production would start in May but because he had to work with Chow Yun Fat on THE LAST TYCOON (DAI SEUNG HOI) it had to be postponed. TVB was so accommodating. He said, "Along of many changes, the alma mater has changed to be much more accommodating."

The Grandmaster to be Released 12.18

Directed by Wong Kar Wai and starring Tony Leung, the film The Grandmaster has been in the works for the past 13 years. Lead actress Zhang Yi Zi had expressed her concerns on whether the film will ever be finished. However, yesterday the production company finally announced that the film is slated to be released on December 18 during the holiday period. After learning of the news, Zhang Yi Zi expressed her relief that the film will finally wrap up and will no longer be 'missing in action'.

With a star studded ensemble including Tony Leung, Zhang Zi Yi, Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, Zhao Benshan, Chang Chen and Xiaoshenyang, The Grandmaster has garnered international attention. Wong Kar Wai started working on the script back in 1997. In 2002 it was confirmed that Tony Leung will take on the lead role. However the production was at a standstill for many years. It wasn't until November of 2009 that filming began in Mainland China. As Tony had broken his arm in July of that year, he had to wait for his injury to heal before joining the production. The Grandmaster has been filming for the past two years and it is still incomplete. During the interim, Donnie Yen has led two successful installments of the film Ip Man in 2008 and 2010. He also has intentions to film a third movie. Donnie has expressed that he has been waiting a long time to see the completion of The Grandmaster.

After the production company announced the December 18 release of the film, they also uploaded a new photo showing Tony in his role of Yip Man alongside his disciples. In the photo he is wearing a black changshan while being surrounded by his disciples. The sign above the photo addresses that Yip Man has already begun his next chapter in life and has opened up his own school in Hong Kong. Last year a clip of the movie was released showing Yip Man fighting in the rain. This time the photo shows a more restrained side of him. Zhang Zi Yi expressed her joy in seeing the film nearing completion. Many others in the industry also expressed their anticipation in seeing the finished product.

As part of the promotions for the film, its official Weibo released a contest to win one of 1218 posters. This attracted great response from netizens. Many theaters in Mainland China are confident in the box office sales and hope it will break records. Beijing New Film Association president Liu Hongpeng expressed that he has high hopes for the film. Others have expressed that if there's good buzz surrounding the movie, the box office numbers will not be a concern.

As the film will be released during the holiday period, it will have stiff competition at the box office. Jackie Chan's Chinese Zodaic, is slated for released on December 20. As the writer, director and star of the film, he will be leading his cast including Korean actor Kwon Sang Woo and actor Liu Fan to compete alongside The Grandmaster.

Andy Lau says Sandra Ng needs to be punished for talking too much

The film A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) two nights ago was the big winner as it won five major awards including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture. Two nights ago the film company after the award ceremony held a celebration with fellow five award winner FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP). The fresh out of the oven Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor Andy Lau Tak Wa and Best Actress Deanie Ip Tak Han arrived together. Sandra Ng Kwan Yu joked that at his age he was still able to get his wife pregnant, Wa Jai who was in a great mood did not mind but joked that he would have to punish Kwan Yu.

Wa Jai won his third Best Actor Hong Kong Film Award. He was happy but he said when he watched drama, directors like Ann Hui On Wa held important positions in the film industry and he was very comforted. Would Wa Jai celebrate even more? He said that later he still will have to attend different film festivals so he might not have time. Did he expect this film to bring him so many awards? Wa Jai pointed out that Hui On Wa has always had certain guarantee, but he was the happiest about the box office record that 3D SEX AND ZEN (3D YUK PO TUEN) has held in Taiwan now A SIMPLE LIFE has broken. Reporters pointed out that Sister Deanie might make A SIMPLE LIFE 38B, Wa Jai joked no wonder she had to thank Wong Jing. "Wasn't it 33D? She really is getting younger and younger!"

Has he called his wife with the good news? Wa Jai said, "No. (Because she is asleep?) Haha, probably, it's too late." Kwan Yu joked that at his age he could still get his wife pregnant. Wa Jai said, "She talked too much, but I won't be mad at her. I will take my time on punishing her. I have to properly think about it, I am still enjoying this award and I am happy." Would he share the award with his family? Wa Jai pointed out that the award has already been placed with the fan club.

Sister Deanie with A SIMPLE LIFE won six Best Actress award. She said that she had spinach and two slices of pizza to reward herself. Did she no longer need to lose weight? She said that she had high cholesterol, high blood sugar and diabetes, normally she paid a lot of attention to her health and could not relax. Two nights ago she was already very relaxed. This time winning with Wa Jai, Sister Deanie said that it was an event. Because she believed that she would not have another chance to step onto this stage again, and an award for the elderly was a rare opportunity so she was truly very grateful. She said, "I am almost 'wrapping up', I can die now."

Sister Deanie revealed that she was in negotiation with Wong Jing but she stressed that she was cheap labor. Even after winning the Best Actress she would not be at a Best Actress price, because the Best Actress award did not mean that the film would make money. Hui On Wa was coming up with a new story. Sister Deanie thought it was decent and she would like to work with her again. For now she did not feel it was too tough, only that the production messed up her life habits. Would she go on vacation as a reward? Deanie said that she already booked a flight to Australia to watch the solar eclipse in November.

Hui On Wa said that she did not used to understand the meaning behind the award, as she always thought the box office was the most important. Yet this time A SIMPLE LIFE performed so well at the box office, she realized the power of an award. She admitted that she did not dare to imagine or expect anything before. Now it truly is very satisfying. In addition, the Tsui Hark directed FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE won five awards. Tsui Hark praised his opponents as truly deserving because it was very hard to make a movie that was good in every aspect.

She even said that this costume would be a breakthrough. Two nights ago she did not win the Best Supporting Actress Hong Kong Film Award, she said that she was not disappointed. She only hoped FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP) would be able to win a few more awards. She would keep working hard. As for earlier claim that Qin Hailu was pregnant, she denied it yesterday and explained that medication increased her weight. She said, "I got a dozen or so Jin heavier. Earlier I had some platelet problems and now I have already recovered. However I want to be pregnant too." She said that she did not have a mate in mind but denied that she aimed high. Kelvin Kwan Chor Yiu and Christine Kuo, mother/model Mia Chen Jing Yi and Chrissie Chau Sau Na's boyfriend Avis Chan Wai Sing, Japanese model Linah Matsuoka and Sugar Club Kandy's boyfriend and Bro5 member Dominic Ho Ho Man yesterday attended as three couples the new film LAN KWAI FONG 2 (HEI OI YEH PO 2) production start worship ceremony. In the film they all had intimate scenes, but the guys all said that they did not warn their girlfriends in advance and were not afraid that they would be jealous. Mia and Avis earlier met to read the script and angered his girlfriend Chau Sau Na. Yesterday they did not hold back. They were like conjoint twins and during photos Mia even put her chest on Avis, without any fear of angering Sister Na again.

Yesterday the actresses were all sexy, Mia even displayed four inch "career line" (cleavage) to become the sexiest. In comparison, Christine Kuo was much more reserved. Christine Kuo said that this way was special as she did not want the outside to mistake that she was transitioning. She would not play a bad girl either, she just liked to hang out. In the film she and Kelvin had many passionate bed scenes. Kelvin said that he rarely made such scenes and being a little nervous was inevitable. He said, "I have absolutely no intimate scene experience at all, before hand everyone need more communication to be able to perform convincingly." Christine Kuo admitted that she would not feel embarrassed because actors should make more different attempts. Would his girlfriend visit the set? Kelvin said, "No, we completely trust each other. I will bring my girlfriend to the premiere." They revealed that they had two passionate scenes. Would they need to be naked? Kelvin said that this was a IIB rated film but they would still get into shape. Would Christine Kuo show her bra? She said she did not know yet, as long as the result was not cheap they would be sweet and romantic like an average couple.

Mia revealed that she had Avis would have bed scenes. For more shocking effects, she started drinking papaya milk to "pump up her chest". First time being topless in front of an audience, Avis said that he would drink powder milk to work on his muscles. Recently his rumors with Mia angered Sister Na. Would he watch himself a little more? Avis said, "As long as we trust each other we are fine, no matter what you know I am not that daring." Mia said that Sister Na was better off worrying about the other girls because the film had many girls. Avis also said that his girlfriend would not be in Hong Kong so she would not supervise on the set. Since she was never mad to start with, last time she was just a little frustrated. She would never check up on him because love was about trust.

Dominic revealed that his girlfriend Kandy was upset for five minutes after learning that he would have a kiss scene with Linah Matsuoka. Now she is already fine. Did he have to kiss her first? He said that they have to make time because they had a tough time scheduling to see each other. He said that he worried the most about his girlfriend supervising on the set because she thought Linah Matsuoka was a big threat. Could he accept her kiss scene? Dominic said that her height and look was not suitable for it, but at work he could accept it. At most he would be upset for ten minutes in front of her.

Shiga Lin and Karena Ng overlook each other

The 31st Hong Kong Film Award will take place tomorrow. Since Best Actress will absolutely fall into the hands of Deanie Ip Tak Han, the result will lack surprise. On the other hand the Best New Performer competition may be even more attractive. Nominees Shiga Lin Si Nga and Karena Ng Chin Yu try on their dresses as they make their final preparations. Speaking of their picks neither pick the other.

The annual local film industry event the 31st Hong Kong Film Award will take place tomorrow night at the Hong Kong Cultural Center. In the past the discussions have focused on Best Actor and Best Actress, but Ip Tak Han who has won five Best Actress awards with the film A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) already has no way to lose according to the current trends.

Since Best Actress is already set, the focus naturally falls onto other categories. Among the most fierce battle is the Best New Performer! Lin Si Nga and Ng Chin Yu are nominated with LAN KWAI FONG (HEI OI YEH PO) and MAGIC TO WIN (HOI SUM MOR FAT) respectively. Although they both were models and close friends, they were merciless when they talked about the award! Earlier when they publicly talked about their picks, they overlooked each other. Shiga picked Jam Hsiao (Siu King Tung) and Sheng Chien, while Karena picked Zheng Shuang.

Karena said, "I have seen her on television, she is very solid. Her acting is the best among the nominees." Speaking of her and Lin Si Nga, she said, "The award isn't up to me, the jury picks it. (How do you feel about her acting?) her character is OK. Her performance is very wild and takes courage to accompany."
