Producers of horror movie "Nightmare" may take legal action against Gillian Chung

After the reproduction rights to horror movie "Nightmare" were bought by Lion Gates Films, there was hope for the movie to screen in North America, drawing interest. The movie was scheduled to release on November 25. However, the main nationwide promotion tour before the premiere failed and resulted in nothing. As the investment company, Sheng Film Company received a notice one week in advance that Ah Gil and all the other actors and actresses were going to Wuhan to rally for the movie. The day before the scheduled date, staff remembers confirmed with reporters: All actors and actresses are not coming, the Wuhan promotion stop is cancelled. The "failure" of this promotion tour is because one of the lead actors Gillian Chung went back on her word and cancelled every promotional event for this movie.

An ordinary photo of Gillian Chung and another male actor in the movie was used by some people for negative promotion, causing Ah Gil to be extremely dissatisfied. She immediately cancled all promotion events regarding the movie. At the same time, an individual in charge of the film company stated that this is already not Ah Gil's first time being absent from a promotion for "Nightmare". As well since it was a critical time approaching the movie release, and Ah Gil still refused to take part, the movie was very heavily affected. The movie's production team has stated that they are not rejecting the possibility of using legal methods to protect their rights.
