Niki Chow signs with Richie Ren's company, denies betraying TVB

Yesterday the press conference was held for Niki Chow joining Richie Ren and Peter Lam's company Mountain Entertainment (ME) (????). Her colleagues William So and Wendy Zheng attended to support her. A magazine reported that actually Niki already signed a contract with TVB, but then she turned around and signed both her management and singer contract with ME, which angered TVB executive Virgina Lok. Due to this, TVB decided to pull out the 'traitor' Niki's latest series Sergeant Tabloid from the broadcast schedule. Sergeant Tabloid was initially scheduled to air in August. Regarding the rumor, Niki denied she's a traitor: "[You're] gonna kill me, there is basically no such thing." Niki made it clear that her relationship with TVB had always been good, and she still has a per-series contract with them. Whenever she shoots a HK series, she will definitely shoot them with TVB and she'll be participating in new series soon. ME primarily manages her work in Mainland, such as shooting dramas and her Mandarin album. There are no contractions between the two parties, therefore she's not going back to TVB to admit wrong, but just to shoot promotional clips.

In regards to her series getting pulled out of the schedule? She said: "Actually all along, there was no confirmation on when the series would air, there wasn't an official notice." Niki reveals her relationship with Miss Lok (Virgina) never changed, she was actually suppose to come support her at this press conference, but because there's a large-scale event at TVB, she wasn't able to attend.

Richie Ren reveals, Peter believes Taiwanese films provide greater space for productions/creations and so they are planning to invest 9 figures into ME for their artists to release albums and shoot films in Taiwan. In the future, there will be more and more artists joining ME. Although Richie has now become a boss, he will still continue to sing and act. He reveals he is currently shooting a film in Taiwan, in which he plays a gay man.

It has been widely rumored that once Shu Qi leaves East Asia and joins Huayi Brothers, Niki will replace her? Peter denied that Shu Qi's leaving East Asia and he didn't sign Niki to replace her.
