Yesterday Joey Yung promoted for her November 14th JOEY & JOEY METRO RADIO CONCERT. This is her first time collaborating with music producer Edward Chan. The organizers gave Joey a guitar to encourage her to continue taking lessons and have the opportunity to perform with her guitar on stage.
Joey's manager, Mani, was still in Beijing working and did not appear with her. Joey frankly said she wasn't used to it. She said: "I'm not too used to this, but I know she's helping us pave the road, expanding our development in the North!"
When speaking of Mainland scooping away many HK artists to shoot series for high salaries, Joey spoke out and supported TVB. She expressed: "The Mainland market is huge, it's understandable, but TVB has a very practical dissemination effect too, and has been stabled for so many years! Under the many year relationship and the relations my company has with TVB, I don't have plans to change anything, the relationship is worth thousands!"
When speaking of her concert, Joey expressed she has not planned to invite any guest performers. She hopes to purely hold her own personal concert, and meet with fans and friends through music. She laughed and said she received a lot of guitars from thoughtful people, which really moved her: "The people around me are really so encouraging. I got like 10 guitars at home, almost can't fit them all! I never thought there would be such huge reactions. Now I must continue to play guitar, and have to put in the effort to learn and practice!"
