[NEWS] HITT to change name to I.M.U + reveals new member Sungjin

Rookie boy band HITT, which debuted in early 2011 with their mini-album, “Here Is the Top”, recently underwent heavy changes in the group. Leader Hayong and junior Howon decided to leave HITT despite their approaching comeback.

Howon was noted to have left HITT in order to be able to focus on his studies and be an all-rounded artiste, while leader Hayong was diagnosed with symptoms of a degenerating spinal disk which requires further treatment.

With the departure of two members, Juntaek, Hyunjoon, Wooram, and Jaehoon recruited new members to promote not as the original HITT, but as a new group. According to Jay.K Entertainment, the group will be named as I.M.U. which stands for “Inspire Music Unit.”

In addition, the first new member Sungjin has been introduced. He was born on ‘93 and a previous contestant in tvN’s “Oh! Boy” competition. He was revealed to be one of the group's vocalists, as well as the group's new maknae.
